Chapter One

Jane Mellister, a girl with a soft heart, good manners and have the most beautiful smile that every guy would melt when they see it. She's 17 and have a jerk boyfriend named Sebastian, Sebastian Correy, a captain of the school's football team and the popular guy in school, just because of his looks, not to mention a player too. Can't believe how Jane have a boyfriend like him. I don't know why she accepted him in the first place, when there's so many guys is better than him. She deserves someone better than that douché bag!

The bell ring shows that the class is over. Everyone was busy packing their things and walked out of the room without even bothering to look back at the teacher or even greeted her goodbye. The teacher, Ms. Kathy looked at the table and sighed at how messy the table is. I walked to Ms. Kathy and volunteering to help her carry her things and atleast to her table in the staff room. During the walk, there was uncomfortable silence between us and I'm trying to break the silence.

"So Ms. Kathy, I heard that you're going to resign? Is that true?"
She laughed and nodded. "Wow, that news spreads faster than I thought. I just gave the resignation letter this morning and everyone already know about it. I'm impressed by the paparazzi here." Oh wow omg  I can sense sarcasm there. I can't believe it that we're arrived at the staff already, it's like it's just a few minutes walking down from class to her staff room. After greeted her goodbye, we were like I'm gonna miss you and all that. I finally went out and went to the hut and wait for my mom to fetch me.

Suddenly, I felt a warmth presence and something made me want to look right next to me. Anddd... It was sebastian!!! He was trying to make me look at him so that he could kiss me on the cheek.
"Gotcha baby", he gives me a flying kiss and I made the "I take the kiss and keep in my heart then throw it to floor and jump on it" gesture, proudly.
"Where have you been? I was waiting for you during the break but you didn't even show up." I said bluntly.
"I'm sorry baby. I was having a rough time on the field. Coach kept on pushing me." Ughhh whatever captain. I'm used to it. Patience, darling.
"Apology accepted but please let me know earlier so I won't wait for you like your dummy ass."
"Aww what's wrong with dummy ass? Still cute tho" he replied with smirk plastered on his face.
"Ewwww!! Go away!!!" He burst out laughing. I left him as my mom already here to pick me up. Mom always wanted to pick me up but I always resisted and told her that I can go to school and come back home by myself. Every time I said that she'll give me her deadly glare and I mocked in surrender.

I looked out of the window letting a soft sighed feeling fresh as the wind gently touched my face. Things have been really good lately, this happiness is real. I hope it will last long.

As we arrived home safely, I went straight to my room. Tossed everything that I have and jumped to my bed. Feel so heaven. Just me and my bed. Mom is at the kitchen, cooking for dinner and dad is at the dining room prolly reading newspaper.
"J!!! Come down. Dinner is ready. Tell Brian to come down too" mom shouted. Ughh it feels like I just laid my back for few seconds. I can feel my stomach aching for food so I went out and bring along my brother with me to downstairs. Brian is my nerdy brother and he's 18.

The dinner was great, I love my mom's cookery, no restaurant can beat my mom's cookery, daddy said so too. Our compliments makes mom smile ears to ears. Our laughter filled the dining room. Dinner is where we can talk about everything without gadgets, it's our precious time to spend together as a family.

Later that night, mom and daddy bring me along with them out for some groceries. As we went through some fruits, mom bumped into a lady. The lady looks like in her mid 40s. Brunette hair with fair skin and freckles shown on her cheeks. The lady hissed and they looked like they're going to have a fight but then...
"OMG Julia, I'm sorryyyy" the lady begged and emphasized the "y".
"OMG Serena, can't believe we can meet here. How are you? I see you're getting so fine now. Who are you with?" Asked my mom.
"Omg can you just let me answer your questions. You throw me so many questions" she laughed.
"I can't believe I meet you here either. Well, as you can see I'm very much fine right now. Anddd I'm here with my son, he probably there somewhere around the dessert corner." She added

Ms. Serena, my mom's bestfriend since they were in elementary school. Mom have tons of picture with her since they were a kid. But Aunt Serena lived in New York back then with my mom. How sweet it is, that they get to meet again, here in LA. What brings her to move here I wonder. Their fate are very strong, stronger than people who are inlove.

And then a guy who's heading towards us caught my attention. He was on his gray sleeveless shirt with his greenish-brown soldier-like jogger pants and black leather jacket. He has an oceanic eyes, taller than Aunt Serena, bushy eyebrows and has the fair skin as his mom. The way he walked, the way the his hair moved because of the wind blowing, I'm seriously drooling by looking it. He took a glimpse at me and smiled at my parents as his mother introduced my mom to him.

"This is Julia. My bestfriend the one I always told you." She added.
"Oh hi Aunt Julia. Mom had been told me so much about you two. It's a pleasure to meet you" the guy said.
"Julia, this is my son, Cole, we're going to live here for few years from now" she sighed.
"It's okay atleast we're here too. And this is my daughter, Jane, we live just few blocks away. Come by sometimes, we can spend time together like we used to" mom said.

Me and the guy, Cole was just stand there awkwardly as our parents chitchat-ing, more like talking about everything. Ten minutes after that, Aunt Julia ask permission to go back to their house as we continue searching for something to buy. I feel relieved as the awkward vibe can't be feel anymore. Beep! Beep! Wait. A message from an unknown number?! Hmm

"You have to go to Sarah's house. She throws a party at 9. Be there at 10 and you'll know what happened next"

How did this person know my number? What did this person trying to say? Without wasting any time, I asked mum to be fast and got to go home quick. It's almost 9 and I haven't get to dress up. I'll take so much time when it comes to dressing up but I'm very determined to dress up faster than I ever could. That anonymous message made me curious about what's all of this about. Why me? There's only one way to find out, go at Sarah's place.

Jane went for shower for like 10-15 minutes. After that, she wore the turquoise dress that her mom gave her and luckily, the dress still fit on her. She match her dress with her silver necklace and some bracelets. She put her hair on bun and put on some make up on her face. Contour here and there, cover all the red blemish, draw her eyebrows and make it on fleek. She put on Mac lady danger on her lips. She then took a last look of herself in the mirror, she look stunning and surprisingly she doesn't look like herself. She looked at her phone, it's 9:50 already, she rushed to downstairs.
"Where are you going, J?" Asked mom.
"I'm going at Sarah's birthday party mom. I might come home late so don't wait for me ya? I have the spare keys" Jane winked as she went out from the house. She drive through the night and took 10 minutes arrived at Sarah's house. Just in time! 10 sharp. I can feel it something bad will happen, I cringed. Whatever. I passed some people who's puking everywhere. It's 10 people!!! And you guys already drunk smh. I walked to the kitchen because I'm thirsty af but I only take plain water, not wanting to get drunk because I have to drive back to my house. Suddenly, there's a loud noise from the living room....
