The Hunt for a Request

At a plain field called Voltea Woods, Ludger, Jude and Elle with a cat named Rollo went around the highroad, fighting and searching as they came back from a certain place they just accept a request. What request is it anyway? Let's get a little flashback about it.

~3 HOUR AGO in Marksburg~

It's morning, and yet another day for Ludger and Jude to pay their 20 million debt for their medical treatments. Yes. 20 MILLION. They thought with that amount of gald might be difficult for them to pay in a short time but thanks to the request post crew, their lives became so much easier. All they need to do is to fulfill the requirements for each request to get the rewards stated. Especially gald.

As the two friends done the requests, they came upon a special one that categorized as "elite monster hunt requests".

[OH GOSH. WHOEVER IS READING THIS, PLEASE HELP ME. FIND THIS DRAGON-LIKE CREATURE IN ANY HIGHROAD OR DUNGEONS OR WHEREVER MONSTERS LIVE. PLEASE HURRY. IT ESCAPED FROM OUR CARE AND CAN'T TRACK IT. DON'T WORRY, I'LL PAY AS MANY AS YOU WANT.]

[Reward : 10 Million gald]

By looking at the reward stated, they can't say no to that. Guess nobody found what this person asked for. And this might be their lucky chance to get that gald. That amount will never appear in their eyes again if they didn't. After accepting it, the hunt for the creature begins.

~BACK TO PRESENT~

"Ludger, Jude, are we there yet? We've been walking here for AGES," said the little girl as she slowly approach the two men in front of her with the cat beside her. "I'm hungry, tired, smelly and my legs are wobbling."

"Don't worry, Elle. We're almost there. Just hold on for a minute, okay?" Jude asked.

"You better be. You said that a gazillion times," Elle grunts while pouting her cheeks.

Ludger stared at the child and chuckled. He pick her up and set her on his shoulders. Even though Elle was surprised, but she felt a little relieved since she doesn't have to walk until her legs are sore. As they kept walking and searching, a dark cave is right in front of them. "This is Felgana Mines, right? Since we haven't come here, let's go check it out. Maybe the creature is in here," pleaded Jude and they all sink into the darkness.

~IN THE MINE~

'Sure is pretty dark in here,' Ludger thought while looking at the surrounding. They didn't expect to come here because a flashlight or any light source aren't on their inventories. (lol cause it's an rpg thing). Elle was looking around and suddenly shut her eyes as a bit of light flash her eyes right in front of her. "Ludger, look !!" while pointing at the direction of the light. As Ludger saw the light, he told Elle to hold him tight and quickly run towards it. Jude and Rollo, leading them front, were shocked and clueless as the other two ran past by them. Jude, still in his clueless state, just follow the two.

"Meow? Meow~!"

"Oh wait. Woops, forgot you, Rollo." while hurriedly pick the feline and sprint towards the light direction. "Hey, Ludger! Wait up!"

Jude has past through the opening and right in front of his eyes, "Hey, you two. Why all of the sud-. Oh my god." Walls of colorful mine stones are shining brightly and it's everywhere. In their whole adventure, they never seen this beauty like this until now. Even the words that Jude was about to say turn to silence. While being absorb in the beauty, Rollo roughly wiggles its body from Jude's hands to be release. Jude feels the fur brushing on his skin and realized he's still carrying the feline. "Oh! Sorry, lil' guy." He lets the cat down and stretches his back for some reason. "Man, Rollo. Guess you need to lose some weight there. Hehe," said Jude while patting Rollo's head with an apologetic face. Heartbroken from Rollo as it angrily meows.

Ludger heard the conversation. 'Kinda reminds me of Julius,' he thought and sadly smiles. "Look, look !! Ludger, can I see that red stone over there?" Elle was excited to see those colorful stones that Ludger chuckled without hesitation. He gently squats for Elle to jump off from his shoulders and she ran towards it. "Wow~~. It's so pretty. Can we bring it home, please?" "Umm.....," Ludger scratches his head as he deeply thinks rather it is allow. While deep in thought, Jude interferes. "I-I don't think we can do that, Elle."

"Aww, why not?! It's so pretty."

"Yes, it is pretty but mining these stones might take awhile for us like a month. Even though we both have special artes but we need the specific tools for mining."

"Then make one! Create those thingy-ma-jiggys and get me that stone! Please, Jude. You're a scientist. You can think of something we can remove it from this gigantic wall, right?"

"Even you're begging just for that, I don't think I can get them off."

"Oh come on! Please~~~."

"Sorry, Elle."

"Hmph. Fine, I'll do it. Ludger, help me out with this."

"Huh?!" Ludger was surprised with Elle's determine character, just to bring the stone back home. He was just standing right behind them, watching and now being involved in this situation. Elle quickly pulled Ludger's sleeve towards the wall where the stone is while he's still surprise but Jude worriedly begs Elle to stop.

Even they all talk and argue in a quiet and not-so-loud tone, their echoes were loud enough for the monsters which were hidden in their hideouts to listen the three. Among the creatures, a lonely figure that no one realize was listening the whole conversation. "Huh. Another human being and now, a little girl with 2 men. Interesting," the figure whispers and a little smirk appeared on the lips.
