3 - First Day

Elouise's P.O.V

My alarm clock rang. I groaned and turned it off. Gising naman sana ako before ito nag ingay.

Hindi ako masyadong nakatulog nang maayos kagabi. Malamang dahil sa kaba. Di ka ba naman kabahan sa bagong school na papasukin mo? I mentally sighed.

This is the day. First day of classes in a new school. Westview University. As a Grade 12 transferee. STEM yung pinili ko. I want to achieve my dream to become a Pediatrician kasi someday. I just love taking care of kids.

6:05 am. After 5 minutes of over thinking while nakahiga lang, tumayo na ako. Decided to get ready. Dumeretcho ako sa banyo, nag shower, tapos nag bihis na into our uniforms. I wrapped my wet hair in a towel muna tapos bumaba na para mag breakfast.

Nag good morning ako kay mama pati papa, kakaupo ko lang sa tabi ni mama nang bigla siyang nagsalita "Is Max still asleep? Oh that boy. Elouise, could you please go wake him up?"

I sighed and nodded. Got up, and went to Max's room. I turned the doorknob expecting it to be locked but to my surprise it wasn't.

Ni on ko yung lights. Wow, ang gulo nang room! Ay, nagulat pa ako? Expected na man sana. Are all guys like this?

"Max, wake up." I said while poking his cheek. He just groaned in response and rolled to his side.

Okay, no choice na 'to. I mumbled "Sorry Max." tapos hinila ko paa niya making him sit up right away holding his chest breathing heavily with wide scared eyes. I bit my lip avoiding laughter to escape. When he noticed na ako lang pala yung humila sakanya, he got a pillow and threw it at me swiftly.

I hissed "What the hell!" as it hit my face, making the towel wrapped in my hair fall off.

Max raised his voice "You scared the hell out of me Elouise!"

"Sorry okay! But you need to get up, breakfast is ready downstairs. Hurry." I replied, grabbing the pillow he threw at me and threw it back at him. Tapos lumabas na ako, bumaba na ulit at kumain na. After eating I dried my hair and fixed my appearance.

At exactly 7am hinatid na kame ni papa sa school.

Arriving school, I wandered through the halls. I scanned my schedule again. First subject, Chemistry room B14. Okaay, saan to? I sighed.

Thankfully, may nakapansin saakin na nahihirapan sa pag hanap nang room na ito. May lumapit na babae, she had a shoulder leveled straight black hair. Pale skin tone niya, reminded me of Snow White.

"Hi! I'm Nicole. You must be new here? Mukhang nawawala ka yata?" she asked nicely.

I nodded "Opo nga eh. I'm Elouise by the way. Alam mo po ba saan 'to?" pinakita ko sakanya yung schedule ko.

"Cool!" she exclaimed "We have the same classes together!"

I smiled overwhelmed.

"Tara, sumama ka lang sakin. My friends are there na rin sa classroom, ipapakilala kita sakanila. I hope we can be friends Elouise!"

"I'm sure we will!"

Nag lakad na kame papuntang classroom namin, nasa kabilang building pa pala ito.

Pagpasok namin, bigla akong inintroduce ni Nicole sa group of friends niya.

"Guys, meet Elouise. A new student na magiging kaklase din natin." sabi ni Nicole.

Lumapit sila saakin at nag pakilala.

"Hi Elouise! I'm Cherry Daniels. Cher for short!" sabi nang babae na may Auburn colored hair na may curls sa ends, thick eye liner that looks good on her, and reddish lips.

I smiled at her, may sasabihin pa sana ako, pero bigla siyang nagsalita ulit at pinakilala sakin yung lalakeng katabi niya na nakaupo sa desk "This is Anthony Brooke."

Nicole added "Her boyfriend."

Cher continued "Yes, Anton nickname niya. Ito naman si Phoebe Martin."

Phoebe waved, I waved back. "Nice meeting you guys. I'm Elouise Jane Miranda. From Stanmore Academy."

"Oh Stanmore town! I've been there, andyan kasi grandparents ko. Nice place, peaceful, kahit maliit lang." biglang sabi ni Phoebe. I nodded in response.

"Tara, umupo na tayo. Lapit nang mag ring ang bell." Nicole said.

I sat beside Nicole. 7:30 nag ring ang bell. Pumasok na rin ang prof. Introduced himself as Sir Michael.

The rest of the day went well, thanks to my new friends. They guided me on things needed to know sa school na to, like rules and regulations, places I needed to know where they're located, special activities na meron ang school every year. Mga ganun. Pinakilala nila saakin ang school, toured me around during free time.

"Marami ka pang kailangan malaman tungkol sa school na to. But, that could wait. May bukas pa." Phoebe told me before we separated.

Uwian na kasi nun. We got our assigned lockers. The teachers gave us books na, so before kame umuwi kailangang mag visit sa locker namin to get necessary books na kailangang iuwi.

Nicole and I had our lockers near each other. Sabay kame pumunta dun.

Pagkakuha ko ng books sa locker ko, from it's rectangular holes may napansin akong lalakeng tumitingin saamin. Sinarado ko na ang locker, looked to my right where the guy was. Familiar siya. Saan ko siya nakita before?

Biglang umalis yung lalake.

"Lou, tara na?" biglang sabi ni Nicole na nasa side ko na.

They have decided to call me 'Lou' kasi Elouise was a mouthful.

"Sure. Got what I need na man din." I answered.

"You have sundo?" she asked.

"Wala eh. My dad only fetches my younger brother. Kapag ulan lang siya dumadaan saakin."

"Great! Come with us. Anton has a ride. He usually brings us home." yaya ni Nicole.

I thanked her. Pumunta na kame sa 'meeting place' daw nila every uwian which is sa isang puno sa may parking lot.

"From now on sumama ka na saamin every uwian ah? You're part of the group na." Cher said.
