4900 years later
I CAN'T STAND IT! I've waited nearly 5000 years, and my curiosity has just gotten worse! I raced into my bedroom, ripped open the trapdoor, and pried the lid from the box. A small puff of black smoke came out, but nothing else happened. My stomach rumbled. I frowned. That's never happened before. Pressure builds up in my lower abdomen, and suddenly I felt liquid run down my inner thigh! A pain in my stomach started to form. My head filled with negative imagery. I tried to shake them out of my head, but they quickly returned. To clear my head, I decided to jump of my favourite cliff. The wind will surely blow these foreign thoughts out of my head.
For the first time, I hesitated. What if I die? I glanced down towards the bottom. An unknown feeling entered my head. A little voice inside my mind whispered fear. I wonder if that's what it is. Fear is a strange word as well. I nearly slipped over the edge, and I felt my stomach drop to my toes. What if the box is doing this to me? I shook the stupid thoughts from my head. With one last look around, I jumped.
