"Miss Cara?"
"What?"
"Are you staying with your family today?"
"No, I'm going back."
"Are you taking your car?"
"No. I'll go with David."
"Do you need anything?"
"Just tell my dad I'm leaving in 10 minutes."
"He won't be happy."
"I know and I don't care."
"Are you sure you don't need anything?"
"I have my money, I have my clothes, David is picking me up in 10 minutes... I'm good."
"Have a nice week, Miss Cara."
"Thank you, Rosvita."
Even I thought I was being a bitch, but I somehow managed to forget how poorly I treated Rosvita. She was more of a mother to me than my actual mother, but I hated everything that lived in our family house and unfortunately she lived there.
"Rosvita told me you are leaving today."
"Yes, I have to be at 7 am in school tomorrow."
"And you also want to go out tonight."
"Actually no, I'm not going out tonight. I'm staying in my apartment."
"I'll call."
"I know you will. I'll put you on hold."
"You are stupid as shit, you know?"
"Well, with your genes I don't know what else to be."
He slapped me. I flew off my chair.
"Thankfully I got my looks after my mother."
I didn't even have to stand up to get another slap. He left my room after that.
"Miss Cara, do you want me to cover up the bruise?"
"Thanks, but no. I'm fine."
"Are you sure? It's getting red."
"Yes, I'm hundred percent sure. Plus, I'm late. Goodbye, Rosvita."
"Goodbye, Miss Cara."
David pulled up in front of my family house. I smiled at him and threw my things onto backseats.
"Hi, Cara. I see your dad is having a day with wiskey again."
"Actually I think it's not wiskey today. Didn't smell like wiskey."
"Are we going to get some coffee on our way?"
"You are driving."
"And you are paying."
"I'm good with that."
