Fawn opened her eyes to white. A bright pure, world that looked like it went out forever. As if someone had held a plain sheet of paper out in front of her.
Not a sound, not a single sound to hear, nothing to smell, or touch or feel. It was a bare land of nothingness. As if this is were things go when their lost, like this is the place where things go when they don’t exist.
There was no beginning, and no end. No middle, in between or anything.
I am dead now, she thought.
“Peaceful, right?” a voice said behind her.
Fawn turned around, wide eyed to see a man. A warm, friendly man with such comforting and sympathetic eyes.
She was silent.
“Don’t be scared,” he said in a honeyed voice. He came closer and reached out his hand.
“Who are you?” Fawn asked in shock.
“Your father,”
“You are God?” she said hesitantly, walking forward.
The perfect man shook his head “Not even close,”
“Jesus, you are Jesus then.” She said tightly.
“No, I am not Jesus,” he smiled, as if it was a game and was amused by her innocence.
“Where am I?” Her voice was wobbly.
“Where do you think you are?”
Fawn thought for a second. She looked around the new world of only white. The flawless man stood four feet in front of her, staring at her with patience. He popped out with the white all around of course, wearing a blue and gray plaid shirt and jeans. He looked like a normal middle aged man, in fact, he looked like her.
He had dark mahogany hair that was neatly combed across his forehead just above his brow and the ocean was captured inside his eyes, just like hers.
“Heaven?” Fawn dropped her guard, and stared at him.
“No, somewhere better than Heaven.” He got down to her level and put his big hand on her shoulder, then looked into her eyes. “I promise this will be everything you want and more,” he said. “You deserved more than you got.”
“My life you mean?”
“Yes Fawn , your life.”
A bit shocked to hear him say her name, she asked once again.
“Who are you?”
“Your father, I am your father.”
“I already have a father.”
“Oh Fawn ,” he said with pity in his voice and still on his knees. “I am your real father, I am the one who will take care of you. I am the one who loves you.” The man paused for a second. “I will fix you.”
“Fix me?”
“You are broken, and I will put you back together.”
Fawn ’s shoulder tingled were the mans hand was. It started to get warm, then warmer and warmer. It than began to burn. She felt her flesh melting under her shirt. Instinctively she flinched away quickly.
“Ouch!” She squealed and took a step back. “ Who are you?” She asked as if he was a monster.
“Fine,” he stood up from his knees. “If you really want to know,” he said in not so loving tone any more, but still polite. “My name, is Lucifer.”
Her heart was beating so fast and heavily she thought it would pounce out of her chest. Terror struck her and flowed through her veins.
“I am in hell?” She spitted out whiled the white world was spinning in circles.
“Calm down darling,” he tried to put his hand on her shoulder again, but she pushed it away and backed up slowly shaking her head.
“No, don’t call me darling,” she said in a breathy voice. “Get away. Get away from me!” Fawn yelled. She turned around and started to run through the world of white.
“Sweetie, I am trying to help you!” He called after her, but she didn’t turn around.
It looked as if she was going nowhere, for the scenery never changed, like she was running in place. The whiteness seemed swallowed her in and she couldn’t move any more. Fawn stopped for a second, out of breath and just stared out in front of her, then slowly turned around to see if he was behind her. No, he wasn’t, just the naked scenery. She turned her head around quickly, and saw the man standing out in front of her.
