The cold November air made you shudder. Clenching your jacket together, you cursed in your breath. Of course, who would choose to go out in this cold? Why did I choose to wear a dress? Your hands went towards your cellphone. Flipping the simple Nokia open, you didn't saw any new texts. Thanks a lot, Naomi, you thought.

A few hours earlier...

"C'mon (Y/N)!" You sighted and turned around, seeing the all familiar face of your best friend, Naomi, right in front of you. Her round eyes were almost begging you for to say yes.

"I'm not really feeling it tonight", you sighted. You tried to walk past her, but she blocked your way. A devilish grin looked at you. She wasn't planning to take a no as answer.

"Naomi, I really need to go to class."

"I'm not letting you until you say yes", she pouted, putting her puppy eyes on. You tried to look away, since those were your weakness. Well, she was your best friend since kindergarten. It wasn't the first time she had tried to persuade you into doing something that you normally wouldn't. You rolled your eyes, still doubting.

"I'm still grounded, you know." You leaned against your locker, eyes rolled again. A few images of your little "sleepover" last week, flashed before your eyes. Naomi snickered when she remembered what also had happened.

"Just, I don't know. Sneak out or something? Like you always do." Her blonde hair hung loosely besides her cheeks. She was the typical popular girl that everybody liked. Pretty and brains, at least some you guessed. While you, you were more of the quiet type, but everyone thought you were nice.

"Okay", you sighted. Naomi's face lightened up and immediately texted you the place and time where you two shall meet each other.

"Just wait for me at the little park just a few blocks from your house", she said while taking off. You were confused.

"Why the park? That's were lovey dovey couples go to make out", you muttered. You grabbed your books and turned around, heading towards your class.

"I've invited some cute guys. They're quite handsome", she said. You smirked, typical of her to add boys to this night out. You liked going out occasionally, but not very often. If there's some good company, then the evening is always better. You trusted Naomi's taste in boys, so you didn't worry.

It was already getting dark, but still was Naomi nowhere to be seen. The bench where you sat on wasn't very comfortable. Eyes shifted from left to right, but nobody was here. You thought it was weird since this place was usually filled with couples, kissing and groping each other.

Flipping your phone open, you called Naomi.

"C'mon", you muttered.

"Hey, Naomi here!"

"Where the fuck are y-" Your voice was cut short by her voicemail. Fuck! It was getting colder and you were still waiting.

Minutes passed, but still nobody came. You've had enough of waiting since you were almost waiting for an hour. Naomi was known for being late, but this. She must have ditched me or something, you thought, still annoyed. Clutching at your coat, you stood up. You weren't planning to wait here all night. As your stuff legs started to warm up, you walked down the path.

The tall oaks towered above you, creating dark shadows. There were a few streets lamps on, but it was still hard to see. Every time you exhaled, little clouds were formed. Damn it was cold. Small pebbles made a soft crushing sound when you stepped on them, creating the only sound you could hear. The park wasn't too big, but tonight it looked like it was going on and on. You flipped you phone open, again seeing no new messages. She's going to get it tomorrow, you thought.
