"The best part about standing in the rain is that no one will notice when you cry. The blood washes away as soon as it appears. Sadness and sorrow melt away with the blade. The soul's condition is reflected only by the skin. As the soul breaks, so too does the skin. I have wronged him. I have betrayed him. Once, his knight in shining armor. Now, the bane of his existence. How can I live with myself? How can I call myself a dragon?" These are the thoughts that go through Spike's head as the tears flow down his face, only to be washed away by the rain. Big Mac had come out to spike months ago. After talking to him for a while, Spike confessed his love for the stallion. They were together for a little over a month. In that short time Spike had fallen in love. He had no intention to so when he realized it, he was taken aback. He was terrified by the idea of falling in love. He had no idea what he was doing.
One day, the two of them took a trip to Canterlot, they had a lot of fun. When they returned, Big Mac had found a letter from Derpy.
Big Mac knew that she and Spike were friends. This letter was decorated with hearts. He got curious and read the letter. Derpy was flirting with Spike and the letter was a response to what Spike had said to her before they left.
Big Mac got upset and began scorning Spike. Spike could see the pain and hurt in his eyes. This has been killing Spike for days. All of Big Mac's friends went to comfort him.
Where was Spike's comfort? Spike had never felt so alone. He had to find a way to show Big Mac that he still loved him. But every time he tries to speak to his love, he gets sad.
He tried to ignore the sadness and silence but he found that it was slowly tearing them apart.
Spike finally got the courage to send Big Mac a letter saying,"Dear, Big Mac
I know I messed up. I know I hurt you. My betrayal is unforgivable. I know the words 'I'm sorry' won't mean anything at this point, so I'm not going to say it. Instead I will beg for you to give me another chance.
With the deepest of sorrows:
Spike the Dragon"Big Mac read the letter spike had sent, and his reply was:
"Dear, Spike
Why should I give you another chance if you so easily broke my heart? You can't imagine the pain I felt when I saw that letter. That hurt. It was a deep pain. Deeper than Rainbow Dash's love for my sister. Speaking of Apple Jack, you might not want to come by the farm anytime soon. Needless to say, she ain't too happy with you at the moment.
With a broken heart:
Big Mackintosh"
Upon reading the rejection letter Spike had decided it was time to ask the one pony he believed would take his side. Twilight had always been there for him since the day he was hatched. He thought she would understand better than any pony else. So he made his way to the castle where the princess of friendship lives. As he opened the door, a wave of nostalgia hit him as he remembered the day he had last walked out those doors.
"Twilight? Are you here?" Spike calls out.
"Spike? Is that really you? Oh sweet Celestia! Look at you! You look great! Like you haven't aged a day. Of corse, with you being a dragon and all, five years to a pony would only be the equivalent of five days to a dragon. Well I guess five years is the same for everybody but, oh you know what I mean. Right?" Twilight rambled on.
Spike couldn't help but smile when he heard the incessant rambling that Twilight is most famous for.
"Twilight, I'm sorry to interrupt you but, I came by because I need a council with the princess of friendship."
"Ah! This must be about the incident between you and Big Mac."
"How do you know about that?"
