Rachel Damiano's POV

Serving everybody dinner is something I've missed these past three months. I've always loved these people like my family, and family tradition is eating dinner together. Everyone sits at the counter and we devour out meal.

"By the way, Mike. You have a case tomorrow. You need a modest girl. Can't be me. Can't be Charlie."

I'm not exactly paying attention, but everything goes quiet for a while. I look up. Everyone's eyes are on me.

"You." DJ says.

"Me..? What??"

"You're perfect for it."

"Oh. Oh no. I almost KILLED him today! I can't work with him." I say, cleaning up my bowl.

"Come on, Miss Broadway...!" Paul says. I can't take his puppy eyes.

"Ugh. Fine." I push my glasses back up on my nose. "Good night." I walk to my room only to be interrupted again by a knock on the door. "For the love of God--" I open the door.

"Hey." Mike say.

"What. Do. You. Need."

'Woah, woah. Calm down. I just wanted to tell you that you don't have to go to the bust tomorrow."

"Yes, I do..."

"No, really. I can go by myself. If you--"

"Mike. Listen to me. I'm going on the bust. Now go to bed before I throw something at you." I say. He simply sighs and walks away, only to be accompanied by the noise of my door slamming.

Mike Warren's POV

Waking up the next morning, I dread the rest of the day to come. Something awful might happen. Something great could come out if this day. Why am I having an awful feeling about this? Everything's going to be fine. I rub my eyes and get up. When I walk to the 'costume room' (as Johnny calls it), the door is closed and locked. I knock.

"Can I come in?" I ask.

"Oh. Crap. Sorry." Paige says. The door unlocks and opens. Rachel's sitting in a salon chair getting bags under her eyes done by Paige.

"Don't I look gorgeous..?"

"When you don't look like that." I mutter. Paige laughs and Rachel smiles. "Let's go do this."

"White boy. Positive attitude. NOT BAD." Rachel comments. I laugh.

"...okay you two. Let's get out of here." Paul chimes in.
