John's Point of View

It was around 6:00 P.M.

I was playing some games on my computer, I was simply bored out of my mind and couldn't think of anything to do. I sighed. Then I heard my phone buzz. I picked it up, I saw it was a text from (Y/N), I smiled and opened the message.

(Y/N): Hey, John!

John: Hey, what's up?

(Y/N): well... I kinda wanted to ask you for some advice...

John: Oh, okay. What is it?

(Y/N): Well... there's this boy I like, but I don't know how to confess, and I thought that since you're a good friend, you could help me out!

I felt my heart drop as I read this. I knew she wouldn't like me back, I want her to be happy, but I can't help being a bit depressed over this.

(Y/N): Hey? John? are you okay?

John: Oh Yeah! Sorry, I was just thinking.

(Y/N): Okay, well if it helps, just tell  me how you would want someone to confess to you.

At this point, I felt something cold and wet running down my cheeks. I touched my face, I was crying. I love her too much, I just can't let her go... but she doesn't like me back anyways. If she wants to go out with that boy, I'll just have to deal with it.

John: Hmmmm... Just hang out with him, invite him over casually, make sure you both enjoy your time together, then just confess.

I know it seemed really plain, but I couldn't help smiling at the thought of this boy being me. Yet, I knew it wasn't. This made more tears start to fall, I wiped them away with the sleeve of my shirt and looked back down at my phone.

(Y/N): thanks, John! You've really been a life saver, I'll probably confess to him tomorrow.

John: Yeah, no problem, anything I can do to help!

(Y/N): Anyways, I'm bored, wanna go to the carnival with me?

This lightened my mood just the slightest bit. At least I'd be able to spend time with her.

John: Yeah! Sure! What time?

(Y/N): Meet me at the carnival at 7:00!

John: Okay, see you there!

(Y/N): See Ya!

I put my phone down and flopped onto my bed. I can still be friends with her, but it will hurt to know that she's in love with someone else.
