I'm scowling as I watch the bride, Min Dasom, slowly making her way down the steps.
I plaster a fake smile on my face as she reaches the bottom and gives a twirl, displaying her beautiful wedding dress.
My smiling façade doesn't last long, as a memory of another stair case invades my mind.
I was in my room of the house I shared with my best friend, Park Jae Hyun, when I heard the front door bang open. Knowing my roommate was home, I figured it was Dasom who barged into the house and knew there was no reason for me to go down and intrude where I would clearly not be wanted.
However, my curiosity rose when I didn't hear Dasom's loud, shrilly voice, or Jae Hyun's sweat laughter.
I silently made my way out of my room only to make it half way down the stairs before seeing Jaehyun standing with his arms around Dasom and whispering in her ear as she giggled like a school girl.
Unsure of what to do and feeling very awkward at witnessing their affectionate moment, I quickly made my way back up to my room, and buried my face in the soft blankets of my bed, trying desperately to erase the image of the couple that would forever be burned in my head.
I glared at the stairs behind Dasom as if they were responsible for all the horribly painful memories that began playing through my mind. Like all the times I would be sitting on the steps at our home, and Dasom would come and annoy me until I reached my breaking point. Then she would run to Jaehyun, using him as a shield against my wrath, pretending to be innocent as to why I was so mad. And the part that I really hated was, he would always take her side.
I was jerked out of my thoughts as Jaehyun firmly placed his hand on the small of my back and ran it up to my shoulder, giving me a dashing smile before embracing his fiancé and pulling her over to the door.
I watched the two of them welcome the guests and sadly wondered how I would ever make it through this.

The wedding hall was beautifully decorated in white satin and pale pink rose petals, but the only thing that held my attention was the groom. Jaehyun was breathtaking in his tailored black tuxedo and his hair styled to perfection. He stood before the audience with a huge smile on his beautiful face, watching as his fiancé walked down the aisle toward him.
Jealousy tugged and clawed at my insides as i had a flashback to the day this nightmare truly began.
Dasom had come to our house early that morning .
I didn't think much about it, except for the fact that the two had been out past midnight the previous night.
Shrugging it off, I continued to sleepily make breakfast as the two of them sat talking in the living room.
Just as I turned the rice maker off, I felt a pair of strong arms lift me off my feet from behind. I let out a yelp and Jaehyun immediately put me down. I turned to glare at him, but smiled instead as I saw his beaming face.
"Come to the Living Room, we have something to talk about." he said as he drug me out of the kitchen, breakfast completely forgotten.
I took a seat in the arm chair as Jaehyun sat beside Dasom on the couch.
"I'm moving out, In Guk." Jaehyun informed me.
I was speechless and just stared as he smiled at Dasom before continuing.
