Setting: Celes, Erios
Narrator: Link
Hey. I'm Link. I've been living in Celes my whole life and I still don't feel welcome. All 14 years of my life in this small town in the Kingdom of Erios and I'm still treated like an outcast. I suppose there's a good reason for it. There aren't many halflings in Erios and rogues have a bad reputation among these people.
I do have a few people that I suppose I could call friends, though I don't really know how to define that word yet. There are six of us. Our parents died years ago and they were good friends so we knew each other. Now they want us to work together and become stronger to help protect the world like our parents did. I'd rather just grow up and be a merchant and live a simple life but they need my skills. I'm pretty sneaky and I've gotten away with a lot of tricks and thievery. So I figured I'd join them. They at least respect me.
So who are the six of us? Well you know me. Link Tosscobble, amateur halfling rogue and thief of the party. I have a younger sister named Hannah, who's off somewhere being a queen because she's smart and pretty. There's Vis Xiloscient, half elf cleric of Pelor. Ozoruous Beren, gnome druid, and resident troublemaker. Nazeela Torin is our human monk, and probably the most loyal friend. Joeb Balderk is our dwarf fighter. He's really annoying and hates me for some reason but we tolerate each other because we have to. And then there's Arabella. Arabella Liadon. She's an elf and the wizard in our party and she's beautiful. I know she'll never have the same feelings for me as I do for her because I'm just a poor depressed halfling but I can at least dream of being with her. Someday I'll tell her how much she means to me. I just can't work up the courage yet.
