Katrina's POV

The next morning as I was downstairs watching my mom rant on the phone with some one the door bell rang.

I looked at my mom for permission to answer the door and she nod her head.

I rolled my eyes and went to answer the door.

When I opened the door a man stood there with two suitcases and a duffel bag.

"Wow I haven't realized how much I've missed until now," he said pulling me in for a hug.

I pushed him back," excuse me but who are you !" I said stepping back.

As I said that tears began to pool in his eyes then he cleared his throat, " I'm sorry is your mother here?" He asked

" Mom mom,"

" I'm coming," she said walking to the door.

When she arrived at the door she dropped the phone from her hand and began to shake uncontrollably.

" Mom , mom " I screamed but she continued to shake. After a few seconds she stopped.

He stepped forward and tried to touch her shoulder.

" Don't touch me," she said taking a step back.

I looked between the two of them trying to figure out what was going on.

" Can we all go inside and talk?" I looked at my mom and she allowed him in.

We all walked into the lounge room. " Katrina go to room," my mom said as she sat down

I rolled my eyes and went up the stairs but stopped at far corner where I could hear them but not seen.

" What are you doing here and how did you find us," she asked the man who i still dont know his name.

" I'm here for my daughter and I found out from your mother," I wonder what daughter he's talking and why my mom?

" She's not your daughter ok she wasn't yours when you left with that bitch." She argued

" I left to protect you both and I want her back in my life,"

" Why now Adam why huh ," so that's his name

" Because I want her to be free from this captive life that you've lead for her , your mother told me everything from how you homeschool Katrina to the fact that she has never had a friend," he said sounding angry.

" I'm keeping her safe from men like you and her uncle," cried mom

" You can't keep her here forever god damit ," he said frustrated.

" You have until her birthday to tell her everything because we are leaving for England the day after her birthday, you got that," he said

" But you can't do that," mom cried

" I can and I will and I'll be staying here just to make sure all goes well." He said heading my way.

I quickly got up and went to my room confused with all that's going on.

I sat down in a chair I my room and began to spin around before Adam came in.

" Your just like me," he said with a smile.

" What are talking about?" I asked confused as if I hadn't already known he was my father.

" I know you were on the stairs listening to your mother's and I conversation," he said with a hint of Aussie in his voice.

I smiled as he chuckled," What you said about leaving with me is it true?" I asked getting serious.

" Yes I was and still am ok and im sure you'll love it in England ok,"

" Yea dad," I said trying out the word because it tastes so forgien on my tounge.

He chuckled and turned to walk out my room but not before kissing on my head and telling me goodnight.

I got up and took a shower, after I was finished I went downstairs to find my mom crying with some albums of me open on the coffee table.

I sat beside her and rested her head on my shoulder.

" Mom no need to cry I'll come visit you and I'm sure dad will let you visit us," I said trying to calm her down.

" He wont, he thinks I'll probably take you back again."

Which is true she probably will but I kept that to my self.

I hugged her as she continued to cry and that's how we fell asleep; in each other arms
