Darkness filled the night. Neither the moon or the stars are in sight. The cold wind blows harder than before. He must do this now while he still can.

He brought someone with him: a woman draped in dark cloth with a hand on her bulging stomach. They walked through a dense forest for a while now and his company is starting to feel tired.

"I don't think I can carry on, love." she said, gasping as much air as she can.

"No, you must carry on. For us." He smiles as he caress his partner's stomach. "For our child."

His partner's smiles back at his gesture.

Suddenly, a speck of light appeared in front of them. It floated and turned around them, as if it is inspecting. Then, it floated away from them into a specific direction.

"It seems to be pointing us to our destination." He realizes. "Come, my love. We must do what we came here for."

His partner nods and holds his hand, with the other hand still on the stomach. Together, they make haste (with extra care for the woman, of course) to the direction the speck of light is going.

It wasn't long until they reached the edge of a cliff. On top of it is a large stone with characters embedded on it.

"APOY HANGIN YELO"

(FIRE AIR ICE)

He reached his pocket and brought out three small orbs with different colors: red, blue and white. He placed those at the top of the stone in order of the colors that represent the words embedded on the stone.

The three orbs glowed brightly and shot beams of light to the sky.

"Now, we wait." He said as they look up at the sky.

It wasn't that long that they heard a booming voice.

"WHO DARES TO CALL THE GREAT FIRE GUARDIAN!" the voice said. "THOSE WHO DISTURB HIS SLUMBER WILL BE PUNISHED BY FIRE!"

"Ignus, what are you doing?" another voice, this time a female one, spoke. "And lower down your voice, for crying out loud. They can hear you well normally."

The male voice let out a deep sigh. "Alright, alright. I'm just having fun with this situation, you know." He said. "Say Hielo, shouldn't Ami be here by now? She should've received the call."

"I agree. She isn't the type to miss these divinity calls."

"I must apologize for my slight tardiness." A mature sounding female voice suddenly said. "I was busy with a trouble at the Cloud Tower."

"Took you long enough, Ami." Helio said. "We were worried you won't be able to answer the call."

"Nonsense. Every divine call is important. It would be a shame for me as a guardian to miss one of these. Now, I must know who called us three. Would you mind introducing yourselves?"

The man removed the hood and said, "I am the King of Elementia, King Morris." He then points to the woman beside him. "And with me is my wife. As you all know, she is bearing our child."

"Yes, I am aware of your child. But what is the concern?" Ami asked. "As far as my knowledge goes, your child is certainly a healthy one."

"The kingdom's mage have detected something sinister coming to my kingdom and I fear for my safety of my child. It was not long ago when my wife was very  ill. Thankfully, we were able to cure her but I fear that whatever this threat that is coming will impose danger not just on my wife but on my child."

"What do you want us to do then?"

"I have heard that you can cast a protection spell on a human. I want you to do that on my child."

Hielo gasped and said, "Your Majesty, this is a huge request. It is true that we can cast one on any human but even we ourselves know that it is a daunting task. It will require most of our powers to cast a single protection spell."

"I have to agree. We haven't done that spell for many centuries for you humans have been abusing this, resulting to us getting weaker every spell cast." Ignus said.

"I know. I have read on every concerning it. But I am begging for you three to do it for we don't know what kind of danger is coming and how powerful it is. This is the only way I know to ensure my child would grow safe to become the future king of Elementia." The King said. He then knelt on the ground and said. "So for once, please do it. Do it not just for my child but for my own kingdom. The kingdom needs a king when I'm gone. We've lost a child once and I don't want it to happen again."

Ami looked at the King intently. After a while, she said, "Very well, we will do it."

The two guardians' eyes widened upon hearing it.

"What?"

"Are you crazy, Ami?"

"I have looked into his heart and found that his request is genuine. Thus, I have come to a decision for us to perform the protection spell." Ami replied.

"Alright Ami, we will do it. But if anything bad happens to us we will blame you." Ignus said.

"I understand. King Morris, you may rise."

The King stood up once more.

With a loud voice, Ami spoke, "Starting from birth until the age of 18, he will be granted protection from us guardians through any danger that he will face!"

"There will be no illness that will befall on him thus giving a healthy life through the years!" Hielo joined in.

"He will be strong, mentally and physically and will carry on any challenges in life!" Ignus continued.

"Let it be known that nothing will be able to reverse this. By the power of air, water and fire combined, we cast this spell to the child of King Morris and his wife. And it shall be done!" Ami finished.

The queen felt something powerful going on inside her belly. It lasted for a moment before it subsided.

"Thank you, guardians. We are forever in debt for your actions." The king said.

"We only did what was right." Ami said.

"Well then, we must take our leave."

And with that, the king and queen left, content that their child will be safe.

The three guardians watched as the couple left.

"Are you sure that this is a good idea, Ami? Hielo asked.

"I have sensed that the child will do great things in the future. I am certain that we did the right thing." Ami replied.

"Oh boy. It's that future sense again. I don't know what going on your mind, Ami." Ignus said.

"Call it a gut feeling, Ignus. Who knows, maybe that future sense of mine will be true after all." Ami said.
