So this is where my story begins, mostly because I can't remember much before this age but whatever! It was a sunny day like every other day in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. This is where my insecurities began to develop, anyway. I woke up and went to the bathroom, hope and joy filled my mind, "First day of school!" My mind yelled out happily. I brushed my teeth and took a shower, after that I went to my room and put on my school uniform, white button up shirt with short sleeves with a white tank top underneath, belt with blue dress pants and black dress shoes. I really hated this uniform, mostly because it was REALLY uncomfortable! Moving on, I went to the kitchen and as I began making my cereal, my sister, Marian, came out and greeted me, I smiled and waved and she said her goodbye as she went off to school, I wonder what high school is like? I went to the table and ate my cereal and my dad came into the room and smiled, giving me a hug and a kiss on the forehead, telling me to have fun at school. I nodded and kept eating until there was nothing left in the bowl, I put it in the sink and grabbed my backpack, walking out the door and went off to school. I met my cousin on the way, his name is Fernando. I smiled and waved at him and he did the same, we talked for a while and laughed. Once we got to school we went our separate ways to find our classrooms. It took me a while to find mine, but I did find it. I walked in and took a seat in the chair in the best condition, today just be my lucky day! I put my backpack down next to my seat. I must've spoken too soon because a lady and her daughter stood above me, the lady told me to get out of the seat because because her daughter wanted it, I told her no because I liked this seat, I was having a great day and I didn't want some girl to ruin it because she was uncom.fortable in another seat. I was surprised to have the woman begin to yell at me, telling me that I have to be a gentlemen and I just responded with, No. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground. This woman had pushed me off my seat, I wasn't happy, I grabbed my backpack and swung it at her head. Direct hit! That was satisfying for a few seconds because I got slapped and sent to the principal's office. Getting in trouble on the first day, and for smacking a lady with a backpack full of textbooks. Isn't this great? I got in trouble because a woman pushed me off a seat and I reacted with hitting her in self defense. I really hate this school... Now I'm walking out of school with my cousin, we're talking about how our day went, his went really well and mine went really badly. He's trying to cheer me up and he succeeds, we get called names as we walk out of the school because we're holding hands. He's always been there for me, protecting me from bullies, telling them to leave me alone. We keep holding hands until we get to his house, I smiled and say goodbye and walk to my own home. I am greeted by my father when I walk in, I smile and wave. We talk about how our day went and then we prepare dinner once Marian gets home, once we finish. I go off to my room and lie down on my bed, thinking of everything that happened today, thinking about what might happen tomorrow. I close my eyes, and fall asleep.
