Reese exhaled deeply as she trudged through the overgrown bushes leading to the treehouse. Her lips tugged into a small smile remembering Jungkook's surprise. In a state of utter happiness, she kicked the grass playfully leaving a trail of patches behind as she hummed a tune she heard Jungkook singing often.

Reese continued to walk casually until she spotted the treehouse in the distance and quickened her pace. She stopped to catch her breath and picked up a rock from the pile of pebbles at the foot of the ladder. "Yah! Jungkook!" She hollered while throwing the pebble.

"Co-ome...up he-re." Jungkook's voice was trembling. Frantically and clumsily she climbed the ladder, detecting fear in her friend's voice.

"Dude. What happened?" Reese's eyes widened. Jungkook stood rigidly in the corner as he frightfully pointed his finger to a clock placed in the middle of the treehouse floor.

"Time travel. It's real." Jungkook shivered and approached the girl. "Reese, I think I'm going crazy." His eyes found hers, and Reese couldn't help but wince at his words. He sure sounded crazy. Sometimes she questioned Jungkook's sanity.

"Let me see. What's up with the clock? Time travel? Wait how do you know?" The girl bombarded Jungkook with "fake" questions "curiously" picking up the clock, her fingers lightly brushing the minute hand. Nothing happened at first, which was what she expected.

"I touched the hand and I went back. I don't know how but-

Jungkook was cut off by a loud BOOM!

Everything went silent, and the only sign of existence was a bright yellow light which seemed to fill the atmosphere. Reese couldn't see Jungkook. Jungkook couldn't see Reese. Both tried to scream and shout but nothing was audible to the human ear. It was as if their senses had been snatched from them.

After a brief thirty seconds Reese could finally feel again. Her back was pressed against a cold surface and her fingers were clutching to something soft, like cotton. Her eyes were closed as if she had been napping and hesitantly she opened them revealing her bedroom ceiling. She sighed in relief placing a hand over her frantic heart. It was just a dream.

However, as she got up and looked around, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. She didn't remember rearranging the furniture or taking down her earth posters. This was her room, so why did she sense unfamiliarity. Her eyes continued to scan around when she noticed how the once bright blue color of her walls were faded like an old shirt, it's vibrancy gone. That was strange. Because they just painted her room yesterday.

As she brought herself to her feet, she realized something even more weird than the rearranged furniture and fading walls. She was taller, way taller than she last recalled and when she tilted her head down she noticed something different about her body.

Reese hurriedly rushed to the bathroom to stare at her reflection. She looked at herself in utter confusion. The girl she was looking at was definitely her. She was wearing her favorite "STUDY THE STARS" t- shirt, but she looked different. A lot different. Her face was thinner and her lips fuller. And her hair was down. Caught up in the strange changes, she hadn't noticed the banging on the front door.

"REESE! OPEN THE DOOR!" Reese quickly opened the door revealing a panting and sweaty Jungkook.

"I'm not crazy!" Reese's mouth dropped. Before her was Jungkook, a very handsome and mature looking Jungkook. He was tall, a good 6 feet wearing a white dress shirt half buttoned with a tie hanging loosely around his neck as if he'd left the house in the middle of dressing. She stared at his chiseled features and his tousled hair which she had the strange urge to touch. "REESE WE FREAKIN TIME TRAVELED!"
