Travis and Katelyn~Book One~Something New

Chapter eight~First "Date"?

rKatelyn woke up with the sunlight coming through the window, shining on her face, giving her a nice gentle wakeup call. She looked beside her, and saw Travis. He was still asleep, so she slid out from his arm, trying not to wake him. she kissed him on the cheek and went into the kitchen. She reached into a drawer labeled "Katelyn" and took out a perscription bottle. she shook out two pills and placed them on a napkin. she opened the fridge and got a Dr Pepper. she took a sip of the Dr Pepper and took the pills. She jumped startled and turned around, to hear Travis.
"Hey," Travis said.
"Hey," Katelyn replied.
"You okay?" He said. "You're bleach white."
"Yeah, I'm fine," Katelyn said.
"I'm gonna go back to the house, and check on the guys." Travis said.
"Okay, I'll see you later?" Katelyn asked.
"Yeah," Travis said.
He walked out of the kitchen and out of the door.
Katelyn walked out of the kitchen and started to walk upstairs. She walked through her doorway, and saw a note.
For Katelyn.
Katelyn picked up the note and read:
Heeeeeeey Katelyn! When you fell asleep last night, I was thinking about something. I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me at the new bar in town, Neon Lights?

Katelyn stared at the note. She put the note in her pocket and walked back downstairs. she slipped on her shoes and walked out the door. She got to the edge of her lawn and looked both ways and crossed the street to Travis' house. She knocked on the door. about twenty seconds later, Travis opened the door.
"Heeeeeeeyyy Katelyn," Travis said.
"Hey," Katelyn said, smiling a bit.
Travis saw the note hanging out of her pocket.
"So," Travis started. "You got my note?" He said with a hopefull smile.
"Yes." Katelyn said. "I'll go with you."
"YESSSSSS!" Travis said excitedly. he cleared his throat. "I mean, how pleasant."
Katelyn looked like she was about to die laughing.  She leaned forward, and kissed him. He wasn't exactly expecting it, but he went along.  They went from a kiss to a makeout session real quick, forgetting that they're on a doorstep in front of the whole neighborhood.  Katelyn pulled back, and started home. She had to get ready for her big night.
