May be a little fast at first
Natashas POV
"Go and get Rogers" Tony tells me. We're having a meeting. I get to his floor and hear sobbing. I hide behind a wall to see Steve crying over a file. Better leave him alone. I think. I go back upstairs. "Where is he?" Clint asks. "Well, I went down and he was reading someones file. It looked really old and he was...Crying" I say and Bucky tenses. "JARVIS" he yells. "Yes Mr. Barnes" he says in his automated voice. "What's the one rule we have for Steve related to files" he asks. "Do not give Steve Rogers the file of Agent Peggy Carter" he says. "Exactly. So would you care to explain why he's crying over an old file" he yells. "No I would not" Jarvis says before shutting off. "Wait, Bucky whos Agent Carter?" Bruce asks. "Peggy, she was an Agent, she and Steve we're close, you know, back in the 40's. I'm pretty sure she was the last one to talk to him before-well you know" he says. "By close do you mean-" Tony starts. "Well, it was basically he loved her and she loved him but neither of them new it" he replies. "Wait, was she the one he was referring to when he said-" Clint says "I had a date. Yeah. Before he got frozen, she made him promise to go dancing with her" Bucky says. "I should really go" he says running to the elevator. "Where are Steve and Bucky" Fury yells walking in. "Oh. It was something about a girl, Peggy Carter" I say and Fury understands. "Who is she?" we all ask. "Well, she was an agent of shield, back in the 40's. She was working on the HYDRA case. After the Captain supposedly died, she was really upset. The first mission she went on after that ended with her drowning. We're just lucky her file didn't have a photo or he wouldn't come out for days. Anyways, thats what this meeting is about. We recently found a body, frozen like Steve was. We need to see if he can identify her" he says before yelling for JARVIS. "JARVIS, tell Bucky we need Steve to identify a body" he says and he goes to tell them.
15 mins later
Steve and Bucky walk in. Steves eyes were all red and puffy. "Bucky said you needed me" he says. "Yes. We recently found a body frozen exactly like you were. We need to see if you can identify her" Fury says and Steve nods. We get to the Shield lab at HQ. Behind a bunch of scientist was what looked like ice. "Ah, you brought him" one of them says. Bucky looks over him and gasps. The Captain was the next and he drops to his knees. "Peggy?" he whispers. "What was that?" another scientist asks. "Shes Peggy. Peggy Carter" he whispers tearing up. "I thought she died Fury" he yells. "Thats what we thought. She drowned working on a HYDRA case" Fury replies. "She was an SSR Agent. How could you not know it was her" he yells. "Her file never had a picture" he replies. "Okay everyone, shoo. She should be unfrozen by tomorrow" the head scientist says pushing us out of the lab.
Time skip
Peggys POV
I wake up in a room attached to a bunch of wires in a weird gown thing. I see Steve sleeping in a chair. "Steve?" I whisper. He jerks awake and only then do I see he's wearing jeans and what looks like an undershirt. "I thought you died" I say. "Well I can say the same" he says with a little laugh. "What are you wearing and where am I?" I ask. "Um, Clothes and your in a hospital" he says before a man walks in with and eye patch. "Agent Carter, what an honor" he says. "Wait what year is it?" I ask noticing all the machines. "This looks like HYDRA technology" I say in a panic. "Calm down" Steve says rushing to my side. "It's 2016" the man says. "Steve?" I whisper and he nods. "How am I this young and Steve, you died in 1945" I say. "Well the captain was frozen in that ocean he crashed into for 70 years and the same happened to you" the man says. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" I ask. "I'm Director Fury, of SHIELD or as you know it, the S.S.R" he says. Suddenly I hear a ring and Steve looks a little frazzled. "Oh I gotta take this" he says pulling out a strange device and leaving. "It's a cell phone. It's a smaller, mobile phone. Don't worry, It still worries me a bit" Steve explains. "When can I get out of here?" I ask. "Now" the man says walking in. "Take her to Stark towers" Director Fury says and Steve nods.
15 mins later
We walk out of the hospital and there are bright flashing lights and lots of what seem to be cars. "Come on" Steve says as he opens a car door. "So Stark industries is still a thing?" I ask. "Yeah, but Tony's a bit egotistic" he explains and I nod. We walk into a building and get into what looks to be an elevator. It goes up for about 1 minute and then we walk off. I can't help but feel self conscious considering I'm still wearing my clothes from the 40's. We walk into a room and I see a group of people in front of a television. "Hey guys" Steve says and they turn around. "Bucky? Is that you?" I ask and he nods. "Hey Peggy" he says with a smile. "So your Agent Carter? Care to explain how you got frozen? We're all wondering" a man with a strange beard asks (Tony) "Well...
