Quick Note: The picture is how I kind of imagine the gates of the Green Star Pack lands. Don't mind the sign and add a security check point. -JW

Pax's POV

I sat in passenger seat of Dad's car on our way to the Green Star Pack. They technically own the town, but this is ground you can't go on without permission. My family was authorized to live here after proving we meant no harm to them or their families. I was trying to call Phel's phone, but he wouldn't answer. What's going on? He never missed my calls before. I looked over at my Dad. He was only 39, since a lot of witches typically start reproducing at a young age, but today he looked slightly older. I knew that me going Missing probably stressed him out, but this looked like something else was on his mind. You can read Timothy Mason like a book most days.

"What's going on, Dad? Why isn't Phelan at school?" I asked him. I was mentally freaking out. He never misses a day.

"Because you basically rejected him, He is in a coma state. If you don't do something soon... He is going to die." He said with a sigh. I felt my heart drop. I did this. I crossed my arms and sat forward. I can't believe I caused Phelan to go into a coma.

"What will I have to do?" I whispered. I wasn't sure if Dad heard me. Knowing him, he did.

"We'll find out when we get there." I sighed and leaned against the window. I have a history of panic attacks. My parents and Phelan are the ones who can break me out of them, but right now I don't think it will stop until I know Phel's alright. I closed my eyes trying to push away the tears. Phelan is my best friend. I should have let him explain his side when I had the chance. Now, I might lose him completely. We pull up to the gated community of the Green Star Pack. Stopping in front, Somebody walks out to meet us.

"Name and reason for being here." He said with a serious tone.

"Tim and Pax Mason. We are here to see the Alpha and his family." Dad said.

"Let me call my Alpha for clearance." Dad nodded and sat back in his seat.

"They take protection very seriously." He mumbled under his breath.

"You would too, If we had to worry about outsiders trying to kill you." I said with a slight laugh. It was never a dull moment with my father. He gave me a smirk, before turning back to the window that the patrol wolf was standing at.

"They are in the infirmary right now. We'll have someone take you there." He said with a nod. Dad nodded back and drove forward when the gate opened. We made it to a driveway where one of the warriors was standing. Dad pulled in and turned off the car. We got out and followed the guy into where I believe the infirmary is located. Once inside, We were met with a man I've met many times through the years. Mr. Singer. He smiled at us sadly.

"Good to see that you're back, Pax. Maybe you can help fix the problem we're having." He said softly as he pulled me into a hug. I tried holding back the tears, but they started falling anyway. I was the reason his Son was dying. The reason my best friend was in a hospital bed. If I just would have stayed in that store a little bit longer, just to listen to what Phel had to say, He might actually still would have been walking around with a goofy look on his face. The one I had grown to love.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Singer. I didn't mean for this to happen. I was just hurt that he said all he did that night at the lake. I was trying to keep my emotions in check, that I didn't realize how much I was hurting him as well." I cried as I released the man holding me. I felt my legs give way and I landed on my knees in front of the Alpha of the Green Star Pack and the man who helped bring me into the world I didn't deserve to be in. I hurt one of the most important people in my life.
