A Normal Day
My alarm clock goes off, I rub my eyes and groan as I sit up and see that the sun's up and shining.
'How are you so happy?' I seem to ask the sun. I lay back down and proceeded to continue sleeping, just to get a bit more energy.
"Get up, Tomoyo Stone! Get up now or you'll be grounded for a week!" I wake up to the harsh yells of my Aunt Jennifer. I shuffled over and checked the clock on my phone.
"What the hell?!" I whisper-yell as I notice it has been an hour after I told myself I'd 'rest my eyes'.
I get up in a rush, knowing that I only have a mere ten minutes to prepare for school. I took a quick shower before getting dressed, scrambling into the kitchen.
"Of course, the spoilt brat comes last." Aunt Jennifer creakingly sighs.
"At least I know I'm one, unlike someone," I mutter quietly, hoping she hadn't heard me. I took another peek at my phone with a crispy slice of toast stuffed in my mouth. 'Five minutes to go' I thought, rushing through the front door and swiftly hopping on my rusty old bike. I dropped my juice box into the basket and began to peddle off towards school.
I continued peddling quickly, perhaps too swiftly.
