Chapter 7

Axel and I are going to tour California today.

Jason is going with since it's his day off.

We're gonna drive to Hollywood and walk down Hollywood Blvd then go to the beach.

Then we're gonna come home.

I got Axel in the car and situated when my phone started ringing.

I didn't recognize the number but for some reason I answered it.

"Hello?"
"Kayla? It's Cassidy!"

I gasped.

"Oh my god!"
"Oh my god!"
"Dude I'm gonna cry."
"Me too."
"H-howd you find my number?"
"I ran into a friend at the store and somehow you came up and she had your number."
"Wait you mean Lucy?"
"Yeah we go way back."
"Haha wow."
"Yeah, hey I'm in California for a little bit she told me you live here we should set up a meeting."
"Yeah totally, I uh have a couple people I want you to meet uhm can you meet us at Hollywood Blvd?"
"Yeah I'm staying at the motel 6 right by there are you on your way now?"
"Yeah as soon as my boyfriend gets in the car."

Jason then got in the car.

"Boyfriend? Since when?"
"Uhm 3 years now."
"Oh wow!"
"Yeah we have a kid together as well!"
"Really?! How old?"
"Just a month old."
"Oh wow congrats!"
"Yeah thank you!"
"Sorry hold on."
"No worries."

"Here babe."

He handed Axel's diaper bag back here.

"Oh thank you honey."

He nodded.

"Alright we'll be there in a bit."
"Ok see you soon."
"Bye."
"Bye."

We hung up.

"Who was that?"

"My ex best friend Cassidy."

"Really?"

"Yeah, she's staying at the motel 6 right there by where we are gonna be so I told her she should join us."

"Oh."

I nodded and looked at Axel. He was sleeping.

I smiled and rested my hand on his foot.

"Jason will you put his songs on they help him sleep longer."

He put on The Lion King. I swear Axel loves that movie.

We just got to parking and parked.

I got out and got the stroller set up.

Jason grabbed the seat and put it on the stroller. Yes Axel is still in it.

I had a blanket over him and put the brakes on so I can grab my things and his bag.

I set my stuff in the holder and held his diaper bag on my shoulder.

"Here give me his bag."

I handed it to Jason then took the brakes off pushing the stroller.

"Where to first?"

"We're gonna meet Cassidy at the motel 6 she's staying in which is right over there so let's go."

"Ok."

We started walking.

"Make sure you hold onto his bag honey."

"I will, nothing is gonna happen to us babe I promise."

"Alright."

I saw Cassidy.
