The sun rose over the horizon, shining its light on the trees of the forest as it signaled the beginning of a new day for all the creatures and citizens of Jollywood.  But some of them had already risen and dressed, and were now preparing a hearty breakfast for themselves and all who lived with them.  One of these people was M'gann M'orrz.

She rang a small bell and called up the stairs, "Breakfast time!  Come and get it!"  The 7D ran down the stairs, tripping over themselves to get to the table first.  "STOP!"  They froze dead in their tracks as their eyes looked at M'gann, whose hand was out in front of her in an upright position.  "Did you boys wash your hands?"

At once, they zoomed over to the sink and lathered their hands in soap and water before showing their now spotless hands.  "That's better."  They all sat at the table as she served the meal.  "Egg whites for Doc, easy over for Sleepy, sunny-side up for Happy, poached for Sneezy, scrambled for Dopey, deviled eggs for Bashful, and for Grumpy—" She dropped an egg on his plate.  "Hard boiled."  Doc looked up at her.  "What about you?  What are you gonna eat?"  M'gann put her cooking supplies down.  "Oh, I'll just have a bowl of cereal after you leave." She looked at her watch. "Look at the time! You boys better hurry up if you don't wanna be late for work!"

After breakfast was eaten, the 7D gathered their mining gear and headed for the door.  M'gann stood in the doorway.  "Goodbye, Doc."  She took his cap off and kissed him on top of his head before putting it back on.  "Goodbye, Happy."  She did the same to him.  One by one, she kissed six of the dwarves goodbye, leaving them blushing redder than a tomato.  At last, Grumpy stomped up to her.  "Look!  I'm warnin' ya!", he growled.  "If you don't wanna kick the bucket, don't let nothin' or no one inside!  Kapeesh?"

M'gann smiled.  "Oh, Grumpy!  You do care!"  She took off his flowerpot and kissed him on top of his head.  He grabbed it back and stomped off, trying to control the heat he felt in his cheeks.  But this wasn't the usual heat he felt.  This heat was heat of...  Grumpy thought for a moment, smiling a little.  I gotta admit, that was nice.  Shaking off such thoughts, he slung his mining pick over his shoulder and continued on his way.

M'gann spread out the covers as she fixed up Sleepy's bed.  She always started with Sleepy's bed, for obvious reasons.  After fluffing the pillows, she took Mr. Hicklepips and gingerly placed him on top before moving onto the other beds.

She had morphed into a brand-new outfit.  It was a white ivory blouse with short sleeves that reached halfway past her arm and another half away from her elbows.  She had on a long electric blue skirt that fell down to her knees and swirled and swished around whenever she spun.  Her red hair was pulled back into a low ponytail with a bright red ribbon tied into a bow, holding her red tresses away from her face and showing off her features.  Her red shoes had electric blue bows on them, she even had on a matching blue cape, just like her old Miss Martian uniform.

She sat on Grumpy's finished bed and let out a heavy sigh.  Even though she had the 7D, she was still sort of lonely.  She missed her friends back at Mount Justice.  She missed Wally's flirtatious ways, Artemis's sarcastic demeanor, Robin's practical jokes, and Kaldur's brotherly comfort.  Most of all, she missed Conner.  She missed everything about him.  She missed his lopsided smile, his soft chuckle, the glitter in his eyes whenever he looked at her.  She missed how he'd pummel any baddy who dared look in her direction, or how he'd defend her from any jerk with perverted intentions.  She missed him more than she missed anyone else on the Team or in the Justice League, even her uncle.

She shut her eyes tight as she focused on the image of Conner in her mind.  I wish I could see Conner again, just one more time...  Just then, as if to answer her prayers, there was a knock on the door, followed by a familiar voice calling her name.  "M'gann!  M'gann, are you in there?  Its me!  Conner!"
