CHAPTER 1

"Get out you demon!!" The villagers shouted and threw things at Lawrence who tries to look for a food for him to survive.

"//That's why I don't like going out//"
Lawrence didn't mind them and continued to go to the market.

"Give us some free foods!!" Soldiers gathered at the counter.

"S-sorry sirs but we--- we need money for the sick people h-here..." The counter girl apologized.

"What?!! We are the soldiers!! We should be the priority of everyone!! We fight to save everyone here!!" They complained.

"Now, now, We do not provide free food to everyone even with the soldiers and I think you know that the King himself proclaimed that soldiers are not allowed to demand free foods." An old man came out carrying a decree.

"Shut up geezer!!" One of the soldiers punched the old man.

"Grandpa!!" The counter girl helped the old man.

"//These humans are like monsters as well, no choice then//" Lawrence interfered to their business.

"Soldiers are supposed to hit their enemy not their ally." Lawrence stepped forward to them.

"Who are you?" The one who hit the old man asked. "A magician." Lawrence answered.

"Monster!!" They shouted.

"Aren't you the same? Soldiers who treats badly of the civilians should be punished by torturing them one by one." Looks like Lawrence's mode switched.

At this rate Lawrence won't be able to control himself. "Heh. You have a nerve to say that when your race sold out many civilians to the vampires and monsters." A knowledgable soldier laughed.

But.... Lawrence think they are wrong, his father and mother.... right, Lawrence don't know them.....

"My people died because of humans." Lawrence replied back.

"Wha...?!!"

A woman in a soldiers outfit punched the two soldiers who were arguing with him.

"Shut the hell up!!" She shouted to both of them.

The woman bowed down to Lawrence. "I apologize for their wrong doings."

"Not me but the store's owners." Lawrence hate a person who hurts others even if He hate humans but He still have Lau's kindness in himself so that's why He don't want to hurt civilians.

"I apologized for what they've done I promise not to let them get away witth it so easily." the woman cornered the two soldiers.

"You, what is your name?" The woman looked back at him.

"It's not something that I can tell to soldiers." He looked away.

"I'm Octavia, Nice to meet you Mr. It's not something that I can tell to soldiers." She then left with the other soldiers. She's not so nice at all.

"Looks like you ran out of food again, Ren." Alishen, the counter girl laughed.

"Well it's already one year." Lawrence smiled naturally. The reason why He can't fully hate human is because of their warm welcome to him. They told him that Lau was here before, he is someone who wants to be a mage but he is just a simple human afterall.
