"Jules, lunch!" Matty calls from downstairs.

Matty knocks on my door and I jump up holding the pen in my hand as a weapon, a reflex. Matty opens my door slowly. When he enters, he stares at my pen and walks forward carefully eyeing my makeshift weapon.

"Jules, give me the pen please." He says to me and my eyes start to water. He holds me while I start to cry.

"I-I didn't know... That was you.." I mumble and he soothes me.

"Come, let's get you into that dress the White Coats got you." Marty shut the door and helps me unclasp my bra. He quickly, unhumanlike, unzips the dress and slips me into it. "Just a bit of makeup, put this necklace on, go brush your hair." Matty kept commanding me. Finally, I turned around to face him and he lights up. He kisses his fingers and blows it in the air,  "you are beautiful."

I blush and turn around into the mirror on my wall. This girl doesn't look like me: her perfect blonde hair and muddy green eyes. No, no I'm supposed to have blood stains on my hands and yet here they are with a manicure, painted a girly, rich pink.

Matty taps on my shoulder, and he turns with his elbow to me. "My lady," he offers.

I turn around quickly and I can hear Matty swear under his breath. When he realized he let me remember what I had to do earlier that year. He grabs me by my shoulders and gives me a hard shake. "Juliette," he says an sharp tone.

"Sorry...I had a moment..." I mumble and he forced me to look at him.

"No, no more moments. Enough, you are supposed to seem changed. Able to handle everything that you went through and had to do. It is part of your test, but I don't have to tell you that." He snaps and I flinch slightly. His tone softens, "I don't want to lose you." And he kisses my forehead.

"I'm fine. Lets go have lunch with the Elders." I say back and avoid meeting his gaze.

Actually forgot to mention this, if you didn't realize this (it's okay if you didn't, I'm really bad at remembering to say) The story goes from her writing down everything to real life. Please ask and tell me things, I need it.
