Harry and I held hands for the duration of the walk, the streets almost completely empty. I enjoyed his company and leaned my head on his shoulder. He turned his head and kissed my temple absentmindedly. I blushed and smiled, burrowing my head further into his shoulder. he chuckled and squeezed my hand.
We turned a corner and my little flat complex came into view. Stopping outside my door, I backed up from Harry slightly so I could look in his eyes. He gave me a smile and looked up at the old building. I did the same.
"This is me." I told him. I was a little embarrassed about where we live because it wasn't necessarily 'new' or 'clean' but, like Hannah put it, it had character. But, I was starting to see it more like Briana, who said it looked 'Ghetto' and 'a place where pedophiles and rapists would live'. I sighed and walked up the steps to have someone buzz me in.
"Wait." Harry called. I turned and looked at him.
"Oh, right! Sorry." I smiled sheepishly and handed him his coat. He shook his head and pushed it back.
"Keep it."
"Your going to get sick! And, besides, I'm already home." I argued.
"It's alright," He replied easily. "I like the cold." I rolled my eyes and tucked the coat under my arms.
"I was just wondering..." He trailed off, rubbing his jaw nervously. I nodded and smiled encouragingly.
"Would you like to go on a date with me? And a proper date, not just a coffee." He said cautiously. I grinned and leaned up to kiss his cheek.
"I'd love to!" I sighed happily.
"Fantastic! I-I mean awesome. Yeah." He finished coolly. I giggled.
"Pick me up tomorrow at... 7?" I asked, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.
"Yeah! See you then!" He smiled and walked off. I buzzed myself in and walked up the stairs in a daze.
"Where have you been?" Hannah asked as I walked in, covered in flour. Apparently, she and Briana had been making cake.
"I've got a date."
