The mysterious boy

The bus journey to school is painful. I sit near the front were the 'loners' go, while all the popular kids leap about the back of the bus, I've only been in this school for about 2 weeks and I already despise it. If I'm being honest...I wish I was one of them. One of those guys people look at and envy, want to be friends with, and want to talk to. Not that this is ever going to happen because I know none of them would ever accept me-and I'm way too awkward to start conversation-especially being the new kid.

I have a few friends obviously, not many but a fair number (5 to be specific). The thing with being bisexual is that everyone thinks it's 'weird' and say 'so you're gay then?' honestly these people need a little bit of educating about this type of stuff-it's real life. I haven't actually come out yet-only to my best friend Temmie, but she understands because last year her sister came out as a lesbian and brought over her girlfriend- so the whole family could meet her. But Temmie's family is extremely accepting of any type of sexuality-unlike mine. Being bisexual means that I like girls and boys, if I brought a girlfriend over to my house, my mom would see this as 'normal', but if I brought over a boyfriend she would most definitely freak out, and so would my idiotic older brother Leo-he's constantly joking about those 'gay bastards'. Honestly, I don't understand them at all-it's like I've come from a completely different family.

Completely lost in thought, I hadn't realised that we were already at school-

"Get off the bus kid-c'mon get a move on I've got places to be!" Complained the bus driver.

Without hesitation, I swung my backpack over my shoulders and hopped off the bus, looking around for my flock of friends. I began strolling into the school building when-bump!

"Hey watch your step dude!" Said an unfamiliar voice., bending down to pick up his textbooks.

"Oh-erm I'm sorry about that I-er wasn't looking where I was going." I stuttered.

With a look of annoyance, the guy turned around and walked away. Who was he? He's the hottest guy I've ever seen...his sparkling emerald-green eyes, blonde flicked to the side hair...he was a dream just to look at-maybe I imagined him;he was that perfect. Curious, I followed him down the corridor until he came to a halt-I casually went into my locker to stop him from becoming suspicious.

"Hey babe." He smiled, eyes shimmering like stars.

"Heya cutiepie where you been?" Winked Rachel...RACHEL?! She was one of the most popular girls in the school-how could I even begin to compete with her...? Both of them began kissing-I was disgusted, I had no right to be but I felt so frustrated, Rachel would date about 50 guys at once and none of them would find out-she was using this mysterious guy and I knew it.

Annoyed, I slammed my locker door and went to my first class of the day-science. I was pretty early, but I still just took my seat at the very back corner and began staring out of the window, why did I even think I had a chance with him I thought. He's way out of my league anyway, I really need to stop going for people I have no chance with.

As more students began flooding into the room, there was the mysterious boy again. "OMG! Look it's David-Sarah it's David!!" Whispered the girl next to me. So that was his name-David, and he was already the class heart-throb. Ugh. David came into the class, flicking his golden hair and smoothly placing his backpack-strap back over his shoulder.

"So where should I sit Mrs H?" He said in that cool, adorable tone.

"Just sit in the spare seat over there-see to the back on the room-yes,yes the corner-in front of Park." Replied Mrs Harper.

"Who's park?" David chuckled.

The whole class began sniggering to each other, Temmie looked at me with a face of sympathy.

"I'm Park" I replied.

Without another word, David stared at me, then came and took his seat.

This semester will either be a dream-or a horrifying nightmare.
