This was a tough thing to do.

What I did:
Left page: I started out with painting the entire page a light purple color using a small sponge brush

Once it was dry, I added a quick layer of a baby blue water color on top of the purple using the same brush.
Finally, I used a simple black marker to write the Dr. Suess quote: " You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose."

Right page:
Using a regular pencil, I sketched out the ballet shoes and the legs.
Then, I outlined the Ribbons and the shoes with a soft pink marker and colored it in with a light pink colored pencil.
I then outlined the entire page with a light pink water color.
Lastly, I outlined the outside of the ballet shoes with a light purple water color.
