I was raised to have no feelings.

To not feel rage when Father told me that I couldn't go to Lexi's birthday party. To not feel insecure when Emelie snickered at my navy sweater and jeans while she herself was decked out in the prettiest crimson blouse and leggings. To not feel anxiety while waiting to find out my marks in my exams. To not feel guilty, depressed, ashamed, vulnerable, miserable, horrified.

The Superius programmed us to have barely any feelings to prevent bad things from happening, like murders, thefts and suicides. But that means that we can't feel love either. Or excitement, pride, strength, amusement, thankfulness or serenity.

The only thing we can feel is oblivion.
