Chapter 4 - Moving Chairs

CHAPTER 4

I felt my knees trembling. Ms. Teleportation? It must be a mere coincidence.

"I need you in my mission." Kite's eyes' full of sincerity.

"No. This is a mistake. I mean... I don't have any freaking powers." he looked at me in the eyes and paused for a while, I saw him hesitated.

I don't do teleportation stuffs. That's all I know.

I looked at him his staring at the school grounds.

"Kite, what will happen to them?" I looked at the students. They're completely not so turning back to their normal self. A felt a shiver running down my spine.

Kite stared at me. "They need your help, Eli."

I want to run, scream, shout and punch his face for making me a complete mess. He told me that I can't remember anything but I do remember.

My seventh birthday with my mom. My pictures since I was a baby everything.

" Kite, what are you? And what am I?" I said coldly while staring at the ground.

He looked at me. I feel so scared and annoyed. How come this is happening? It's too much to take.

"I told you Eli. You and me are shifters." He paused. "You're a placeshifter and I'm a controlshifter."

"But how? I mean. I-I don't know how to do those stuffs. I'm sorry." I'm stuttering. I want to wake up this is all a dream. It's impossible. Last time I checked I'm still a normal person right?

" Don't worry. Shifters help each other." He gave me a genuine smile.

Shoot! I saw my mother's car at the front of our school gate. Mom? She's not frozen too. So she's a shifter?

"Kite that's our car! Mom's here!" I leaned back. He look dismayed.

"Don't tell this to her." He left me at the rooftop staring blankly.

Mom's a shifter for goodness sake! She kept it to me, all this time.

"Wait ,wait! Kiteeee!" I rushed to chase him his moving too fast. He told me that I have teleportation powers but I can't teleport pass through him! Ugh.

While I'm running, chasing him. I still need to block frozen people.

Then atlast, we are now like 5 classrooms apart.

He leaned back and looked at me.

He look irritated.

And I want to laugh.

"I'm sorry!" I shouted.

Then chairs starts moving. I can hear it tremble.

The chairs are building a wall.

I was fascinated. Some sort of magical thing? Kite Sineel. Shuffle the letters.

Shuffle the letters!

Telekinesis.

He can control things!

I look at him in disbelief his blocking my way.

"You can't follow me, Eli. I'm always watching you don't worry. " I look at Kite and shouted.

"Kite! You need me in yourrr MISSSSSIOOOONN!" He didn't dare to look back. Until I watch him left me.

Someone approached me at my back.

It was my mom.

I hugged her. Thank God, she's safe.
