"I still remember the day when the air was filled with warmth and cheer. How the children would rush out and play until their parents called them in for supper."

"Oh how I would just be so enthusiastic on those days."

We would be getting ready for them right now, if not for HER. It is the last week of winter in Luna-Bay, and everyone was happy.

"All right class," said Miss Lilly. "I hope everyone had a great winter."

"Whats so great about winter? Its cold outside," said Moonlight.

"Yes I know Moonlight, but this means that your older brother is coming home tomorrow. Any way, tomorrow is the last day of winter. This means that tomorrow is your final day to work on your projects before the Spring Festival. So I'd suggest you take this time to work on it."

As Miss Lilly was about to sit down in her chair, she saw one student looking down at her desk with a heavy heart. "Do you have your project Snowdrop?" Miss Lily questioned the young girl.

The girl looked up and said, "M-My Project? Umm, my project... it's... uh... "

"Oh Snowdrop, have you even started on it?"

"Umm yes. Yes I have. It's at home. Completely on track.

"Are you sure? I can still put you in a group if you'd like."

"That's okay Miss Lilly, I can handle it. I want my project to be a surprise anyway."

" Ok then,"said Miss Lilly with doubt as she sat down. The bell rang.

" All right everyone! Have a safe night," said Miss Lilly. As everyone left, Snowdrop was in deep thought.

" Surprise? Yeah right," thought Snowdrop as she walked into the blizard. Later that night, Snowdrop was sitting on the front porch with tears in her eyes.

" It's not fair. Everyone in Luna-bay can do things on their own, but because I'm blind everyone thinks that I can't do anything." As she cried, a strange object went past her ear and whispered, " Snowdrop.." Hearing the voice, it took her back to a memory.

Weep, whimper.

"Snowdrop? Are you alright?"

"Huh? Oh, hi Sunfire."

The slightly older boy then took a seat next to snowdrop, warping his arm around her. He had been her best friend since kindergarten.

"I'm worried about you Snowdrop. Are you sure you're alright, because if I can't see you smile or hear that beautiful laughter of yours, then I can't be happy."

Snowdrop then looked up at him and gave a gentle smile. "Sunfire, when you get back from school, I want to meet in our special spot, ok?" said Snowdrop. Sunfire thought to him self, 'She's so pretty. I need to tell her how I feel before it's too late.'

"Snowdrop?"

"Yes?"

"I need to tell you something before I go."

"What is it?"

Sunfire was about to say something when Moonlight came by and said, " Hey Snowdrip. Sorry to interrupt the chit-chat but Sunfire needs to go. Now."

"Moonlight, back off!"

"No."

"Moonlight, how dare you talk back to me like that. Don't you know I can strike you where you stand."

"But..."

"Go home Moonlight. NOW."

With tears of hatred in her eyes, Moonlight turned around to leave. Before she left, she said, " I hate you Sunfire, and I hope I never see you or your friend again!" As she ran home crying, Sunfire turned around and looked at Snowdrop with a heavy heart.
