Chapter 2

It was now 11pm and I was clocking out from work

*ring ring*

I picked up my phone and answered

"Hey Em" I said

"Wassup? You finished work?" She asked

"Yea I'm now clocking out, what's wrong?"

"Oh nothing. I just came to give you a ride home"

"Awwww ! That's so sweet ! I'd be out in a min" I replied

"Ok ma" she said and hung up

I quickly got my stuff and walked outside where I saw her sitting in her car. I walked up to the car and jumped in.

"Where you going ? Ju look so hot !" I said laughing

She laughed "You a clown ! And it's where we going nigga"

I looked at her "I'm going home babes. I ain't got anywhere to go"

She smiled "Exactly why I made plans for you"

And with that she handed me a few shopping bags. I looked at the clothes inside then I looked at her.

"Em I appreciate it, really, but I can't go out tonight"

"Why not Jas ? You're always home, time to get out a little!"

I cannot believe I was going along with Em's plan. After picking me up from work she carried us to her place for me to change and do my makeup and hair. When all of that was finished, we began driving into the suburban part of the town.

"Emily, where are we going?"

"You'd see just now babygirl" she replied

I looked out at all the houses. They were so beautiful. I wish I could have afforded one for Sky and I to live in. I sighed and Em looked at me.

"What's wrong?" She asked

I looked at her and smiled "Nothing's wrong"

"Jasmine, I know you, something's wrong. What's wrong?"

She was my best friend since kindergarten, there was no way I could lie to her "I really wish I could afford a house like this for me and Sky to live in" I said with tears forming in my eyes.

"Jas you will. Soon enough, don't go getting all soft on me! You'd ruin your makeup" she said

I laughed and rolled my eyes "Whatever"

She pulled up to this really nice house with teenagers standing all over the place and with blaring music. We got out the car and began walking in.

"Where is this?" I shouted over the music

"This is Jaydon's house !"

What did I just hear ? Jaydon's house ? As in Jaydon from school?

Apparently I said that pretty loudly because I felt someone hold me from behind and say in my ear

"Yeah baby, it is"

I turned around and was shocked to see who it was.

He laughed "You look shocked baby"

"Stop calling me that" I muttered out

I turned around thinking I would find Em and to my astonishment, she wasn't there.

"Looks like you're with me whole night" he said smiling

"Jaydon, no ok. I'm not gonna be another one of your fuck buddies. There are tons of other girls here, go ask them" I said

"What ?" He asked in a confused tone

"I've heard things about you"

He sighed "So you don't know me, but you're judging me by things that you've heard ?"

I looked at him, he was right. "You're right, I'm sorry"

He smiled "It's ok ma. Wanna go get a drink?"

I smiled "Sure"
