Just as I thought it couldn't get more uncomfortable, and awkward, he finally moved his arm. I breathed a sigh of relief. I sat up quietly and looked at more than the rock ceiling.

It was a cave. A big, roomy cave that apparently has tunnels that lead to different rooms. My green eyes were still drinking everything in, when a croaky voice spoke up.

"Sorry if it's a bit cold."  He sniffed. "The cave could get drafty." He sniffed again. Instinctively, my hand shot up towards his forehead. It was hot.

I stared at him. He just stared back at me.

"Um... Are you okay? Can't you speak?" I shook my head. He just nodded.

"Well, since you can't really talk, my name's Ethan." The Sil- Ethan smiled a bit. If you could count the corners of their lips slithering up a bit. I took out my little notepad, and wrote.

My name is Sub, it read. I'm a mute since birth. Ethan just glared at me for incorrect grammar. But who gives a damn?

"Work on your grammar, Sub. If you want even a chance of being my friend, learn how to write." He snarled in disdain. I rolled my 'supposedly rumored' blind eyes. Ethan walked out of the cave.

I grew hungry. All I wanted right now was some Cheetos or Lays or some kind of chip!

Except Fritos. I don't like it.

"Ethaaaaaaaaaan." I groan. "Do you even have food?" The boy rolled his crimson eye.

"Yes.' He pointed down a rocky corridor. "Down there, take a left, and kitchen."

As I trudged towards the kitchen, Ethan yelled. "Don't take my tacos!"

I shrugged. Honestly, people and their Mexican food.
