Trisha's POV

My eyes fluttered open, they felt sandy and heavy. I looked around, looks like what happened wasn't a dream. The sun was hitting my face so i covered it with my hand. The sand beneath me was now in my shirt, shorts and places where the sun didn't touch. I didn't really sleep last night, mostly bad dreams.

I sat up and looked around again, the fire that had been started last night was gone, leaving a pile of ashes and a charred piece of wood. I saw bodies around it, it was the rest of the class, still asleep.

I caught a glimpse of movement to my right. I didnt recognize what or who it was. So I got up, I patted and shook myself a bit so the sand would fall off, didn't really work. I walked towards the place i saw the figure.

Suddenly i felt a heavy force push me back, it made me fall onto my back. I felt something wet go up and down my face. I opened my eyes and it was a black labrador, licking my face happily. I pushed it off me and sat up.

"Hello, big guy," I grabbed at its collar and looked for its name, "Whats your name, huh?... Ruby?"

She loooked at me with recognition to her name. I stood up and took a walk by the shore, Ruby by my side. The beach breeze was fresh, it made me feel awaken. The ocean water looked blue and refreshing, almost... glistening.

I decided to take a swim.

I took off my shirt, and my short shorts, leaving on my bra and my panties, I slowly walked into the water, I inhaled sharply when the water reached my stomach, it was cold!

Fück it! I dived into the water, feeling the sharp coldness through all my body. But it eased as i got use to it. I looked at the shore and Ruby was sitting patiently waiting for me. I swam for what seemed like hours.

Until i heard Ruby bark, she was standing now, on full alert, barking towards me. I felt something skim my leg, i looked under me but didnt see anything. Then i saw a fin going toward me, similar to a shark's, but this one had two, the one in the front was bigger than the one in the back, and they were a dark green.

It was getting closer and I started to panic, I started swimming towards the shore as fast as i could. I felt fear crawl up my neck and it impulsed me to go faster. Ruby was barking wildly now.

Then i felt it. Something sharp, like knives, thick knives, go into my left leg. The pain shot up my body like electricity. I gasped as i was pulled underwater, i opened my eyes but didnt see anything. I was swimming in my own blood. Still underwater, i reached down to were my leg was and i felt a scaly creature gripping onto my leg. I started punching at it, it didn't work. When I felt it go loose I tried to get out of its grip, but the creature just closed its jaws even harder. The air in my lungs was running out, I need to get to the shore. My eyes bulged out as I felt the pain, I grabbed at its jaw and opened it slightly, enough to escape. Adrenaline and fear went through my body taking turns. I swam to the top and inhaled the air like I have never before, but it wasnt over yet.

"HELP! HELP!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, "HELP! HEL-"

I was pulled underwater again, but this time I kicked it with my other leg, and the creature let loose and I managed to swim close to the shore. The water was still under me but i could walk here, well try to. I saw someone running towards me, and three others right behind him. Ruby was still barking.

I looked behind me and I saw it. It was a shark/fish creature. It had the body of a shark but the skin and head of a fish and its legs were small. It had legs! Its sharp teeth stained with blood but something yellow oozed and dripped from them. It was an ugly swamp green and it had darker green stripes like a tiger all over itself. It was hideous and unnatural. I looked at it in fear and disgust.
