The sunlight was moderate and peaceful, but it was nothing compared to the sight of what was under it. The entire town was on fire, and it did not help that the town was about three miles away from the desert. The sky was full of gray and black smoke, but the sun still shined through the hideous smoke. Blood was splattered all around the town. It was along the walls of the buildings and it was in trails around the town, which most likely showed that the victims were trying to run away. The town was dead in the middle of it, but on the east side of it, it was bustling with violent activity. There were humanoid people on horses, both the horse and the person were heavily armored with steel. What these people were fighting were creatures made entirely of flames. The only distinguishable features of it that could be seen with the naked eye was a long muzzle, two arms, two legs, and a tail, but all were fully engulfed in flames. The creatures stood on two legs and pounced onto its victim with a powerful jump and finished it off with a vicious bite. Almost half of the townspeople were dead because of these creatures' attacks. However, it was going to be their last attack in a very long time. While the humanoids were fighting these creatures, another humanoid, dressed in mainly red and orange steel armor, rode along the scene. His face was covered by a golden, shiny helmet. His cloak drooped over the side of his horse and on his chest, where the cloak was connected, was a distinguishable, golden medallion. He was accompanied by another man on a horse next to him.

"We will drive these creatures out of here," the man with the medallion said. "Or I will kill every single one of them." He pointed his sword up at a mountainous area. "Over there is another country of no civilization. We can drive them into there. Since we have Sol's help, he can create a spell around that country and banish the creatures into it forever, then they can never come back. No one can get out, but no one can go in, either. Got it?" He looked trustingly at his companion. He nodded quietly and ordered the men to point their spears and swords forwards and drive them past the country line. The creatures were surrounded all around by these men. They all started to back further and further to the country line. One of them took a bold move and jumped onto the cloaked man. He swung his sword violently at the creature, which almost cut it entirely in half. A few more creatures attacked the men and another one attacked the cloaked man. However, he was too full of hatred to be alarmed. He slashed his sword at the other creature and stabbed it through the stomach. The sword pinned the creature to the ground while it was half-dead. The man did not release the creature of his sword's grasp, and the creature finally died. The man knocked the other creature back into the others. They all cowered and hid their hideous teeth.
By the time they had all passed the country line, a figure appeared in the sky. It was rather tall and it wore loose clothing with warm colors. A special, white light appeared in its hand and it lifted them up. The light filled the sky and cleared it of smoke and the sunlight continued to keep its peacefulness. Just then, a magical wall of white light appeared in front of the creatures, and it stretched all around the uncivilized country where the creatures were. The walls reached all the way to the sky, were they all met, and the light then disappeared. The creatures looked up at the figure in the sky before it disappeared. The creature the cloaked man had injured looked not up at the sky, but up at the cloaked man. There was a spiteful look in its eyes. It then hissed loudly at the man. The man, however, showed no signs of fear or pity. He had done something he had wanted to do in a long time.
"Come," he spoke to his men as he turned his horse around. "Let us aid the townspeople and head back to Bloodstone to commemorate our victory." As he headed back towards the town, he could hear the hissing of the creatures. He then heard a chilling, feminine but menacing voice.
"We will always find a way to get under your skin, whether it's sooner or later."
The cloaked man stopped his horse where it was after he heard that. The words were already haunting him. However, he kept a straight, stern look and his horse trod away from the creatures. Somehow, the man felt satisfied. He and all of his men went off into the town to help the people of the town. Something about the sun seemed different after the battle. It was a little brighter than usual, and it was going to be that way for a long time.
