Until We Meet Again

"Looking back, I've never felt so loved. He is like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, the hot chocolate in a snowy evening, a warm blanket when it's very cold. Somehow, the clichés that I thought love was faded when I met him. The love that I thought was brainwashing people, coaxing them to their demise is actually the best feeling anyone could ever feel. There is really no guarantee that you would not fall in love. As my best friend would say: Once you meet that special person, you'll fall, fast and hard."

Hey! How are you? It's been awhile since we last saw each other. Maybe we could hang out sometime. Do you remember our great time in Berlin? I wish that we were able to visit a lot of places in Europe. I hope that when we meet again, we'll be able to travel all over Europe.

Love,

Your Cute Friend

April 2, 2014

"Ladies and Gentlemen, our plane has landed I hope you enjoyed our long flight! Welcome to Berlin, Germany!"

Amanda Jean "Mandy" Mendoza was busy reading her travel guide when the pilot spoke. Finally. She told herself, after a grueling 12-hour flight from the Philippines to Berlin Germany, she's finally here. Her first destination in Europe! All the things that I want to try here....finally...it will be happening!

"Ow!"

Mandy's thought bubble popped when someone screeched next to her. She looked at her right side and glared. "Why are you even here?" She asked.

"Well, mom and dad told me to come with you." Her little brother Kim said as a-matter-of-factly. Mandy raised an eyebrow at him.

"It's more like you whined over the phone so that you can come. Thank you for ruining my college graduation present."

"Oh please big sis, you know you love me..." He smiled a watery smile and started to act like a kid next to her sister.

"I'd love to punch you right now." She muttered.

Kim's eyes widened. "You wouldn't dream of ruining your handsome brother's face, will you?" He feigned a shocked expression. Mandy snorted and just ignored her annoying brother.

It was already eight o'clock in the evening when Mandy and her brother arrived at the guest house that they are supposed to stay. Mandy found that it's such a bargain to stay at a guest house as opposed to staying at a hotel.

Mandy opened the door to the room that she and her brother will stay at. "Why do we have to share room Mandy?" her brother whined. She turned to look at him and glared.

"It's not like I want to room with you." She raised an eyebrow and turned back.

Kim looked at the bunk bed. "I get the top bunk!" he exclaimed.

There isn't really a need to argue with Kim, besides, Mandy hates heights, just the thought of it made her whoozy. Even when they were in the plane, she felt like vomiting every five seconds.

The next morning, Mandy was taking a stroll down the lake near the guest house. She was busy thinking to herself when she felt that she hit something...or someone...

She fell down and felt her butt dip into a puddle of muddy water...that's just great...Mandy taught to herself.

"Miss, are you okay?"

Mandy looked up and felt blood rush to her cheeks. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. A pair of chinky eyes stared at her, a concerned expression across that oval face...is he Japanese? Thai? Korean?

She tried to speak but she felt her tongue tied up in knots.

The young man, maybe a few months older than she is looked at her and gave her a warm smile, "Let me help you up." He held his hand out for Mandy to take.

Mandy stood up on her own and the guy seemed shock by her attitude.

Though she appreciated the gesture, she hated feeling embarrassed. So she just walked off before the guy could even speak. When she was put of eye-shot, Mandy sighed. Was she rude earlier?

The guy looked on as the girl disappeared from the distance. His ear perked up when someone called him

"Hey Kim Jae Hyun! Let's go!"

He turned around and saw his football team mate. "Yeah! I'll be there!"

He jogged toward the bus that will bring them to their training area just near Berlin. Still, the mysterious and somewhat rude girl kept of creeping in his mind.
