I woke up chained to the ground with walkers circled around me. They growled and snapped their rotten jaws at my face. I looked between two of them to see a tall man with dark hair. He laughed evilly as I saw the walkers stalk towards me. I look to the man's right to see a friend of mine. I couldn't see his face because he didn't have one. Though I could hear him speaking like he had a mouth. The growls got louder as the man laughed harder. The boy reached his hand out only to be pulled back by the chains around his neck. The collar of metal around his neck had spikes that sunk into his already bruised neck. Drawing the blood to the ground as it poured out of his open neck. As the man looked at my friend he smiled slightly. "You may say your goodbyes," he spoke in a deep gruff voice. I could smell the rotten breath of death as it awaited me. With their teeth bared the man yanked back each walker to let the boy through. I hugged him tightly whispering goodbyes as he only stayed silent through the mouth he didn't have. I put my hands on his cheeks as I saw tears well in the sockets of his eyes. They weren't regular tears they were tears of blood dripping from his eyeless sockets. I swiped the blood away from his sockets and I saw the remorse as though he had eyes. The area around where his mouth should seemed in pain as his voice deep and mysterious spoke through something he didn't have. "We don't have much time, we both die tonight," he said as though it was clear. Soon the features of his face became known just for the moment so I could quickly connect my lips to his for one chaste kiss. He was right we both would die tonight but he would not die a brutal death like he would die in his sleep as his master kept him chained in the dark wet basement. Goodbye to the ground, the earth, the stars, the boy. We will die tonight but soon we realize we have forever after death. The sky's the limit. Although we go through this painful slumber we are welcomed after death to the home of everyone that's passed. And God has opened his arms to embrace our spirits as the dirt we are buried under or the flames we are burned into ash by takes the body we once controlled.
I soon pulled away from the boy and his eyes, nose, and mouth all disappeared once more and we stayed in this embrace until the dead gripped our bodies tearing the flesh from our bones. The organs from their places. The bones from the joints as we were quickly dismembered. I was silent through the pain because I knew this boy would not go through my fate he has chosen the path of no pain and I did wrong by his master so I chose the path of pain and suffering. Please dear lord welcome me into the gates of heaven and let this boy come in as well. He may remain faceless but I will always see the joy and emotion in the way his face moves even without his features. So that was a dream I had last night. Enjoy.
