I walk into first period and immediately I regret ever walking out of my house because guess what? There are 3 words on the board that made me rethink my whole life, which read: EXAMS ALL DAY! I heard all the students moan and curse as they walked in the classroom. Why must my life be so hard?! I asked myself. Apparently I spoke my thoughts out loud because a kid next to me answered. A very good looking kid. A very tall, good looking kid. "What's so hard about it?" He asked. "Thats none of you're business, kid." I told him, squinting my eyes as I talk.

"Don't say that so soon... Stevie." And with that, he walks to the back of the class and takes a seat. The seat right behind mine. I roll my eyes and drag my feet to the desk and pop down in my seat. "Following me already? Damn, I just can't shake the ladies off- OUCH!" I kicked the heel of my shoe into his shin. "In your dreams, lover boy." I retorted. He groaned and pretended to fall on the floor, while holding his shin. "Ew stop, you look like a dumbass." I nudged him with my foot. He stood up and soluted me, "I'm here all week, baby." I gagged. Ew "baby" what the hell is wrong with this guy and how does he know my name?
"Thats for me to know and for you to find out, sweet cheeks." He grins and the teacher finally walks in the room.

During lunch, I find my usual bench that I sit on already occupied. By who you may ask? Why don't you take a wild guess.
"I get that you know my name but you don't have to steal my lunch spot too." I sit down next to him. But he doesn't say anything. "Ok, whatever then..." I open my book and begin to read. Just then, I see long fingernails touch the page I was reading. But they aren't you're average "damn those are some long nails!" No, they were the nails. The same nails that I had dreaded, ever seeing again in my life. The same nails I feared would come back to haunt me. The same nails that killed my father. I look up, holding back tears, and see the same kid from earlier but his face... it's not right. His teeth.. they're sharp. His ears.. they're pointy... His eyes.. they're golden.

I'm about to run away until he grabs my arm, so I'm unable to move. "Do you see me?" He asks, sounding ashamed. "Why wouldn't I? Of course I do." I tell him, trying to find a way to get out of his grip. "No. I mean, do you see me. Do you still see the same guy from first period?" I had no idea how to answer that. I was at shock from what I was looking at. "I-I don't know. Please let me go now." I told him. He then looked at my arm and then at me. Realizing what he was doing he quickly released me. "I know your name because of my father. It's not good, I came to save you because... he's looking for revenge. He's looking to kill you, Stevie."
And with that, he ran off. Leaving me to deal with my thoughts.

I walked home alone in the rain thinking about earlier today. How could this happen? What am I going to say to Ray?? I remember that Ray and mom were out that night. Spending some quality "mother and son" time together. So imagine the shock that was on their faces when they got home to see police cars and an ambulance in front of the house.

I walked into my house and was greeted by my mother and Ray. I had no idea how to tell them so I just blurted it all out as soon as I walked in the door. My mom and brother stood there in shock not knowing what to do or say. After a few long moments my mom bursted into tears and went into her room, and my brother followed. Once again I was alone.

I went into my room and locked the door behind me, about ready to burst into tears until suddenly I felt muscular arms wrap around my waist and a hand cover my mouth. Before I can scream, my vision was slowly fading until I could only make out his face and then I was gone.
