What If?

   Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

   The clock hanging on the left wall went. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

   One minute passed by. Two minutes. Three minutes.

    It was agony, sitting in the principal's office in silence. I looked at Principal Richardson, who had his hands clasped together, under his chin, his heavy gaze resting on me. I quickly looked away, and wiped my sweaty palms on my blue jeans.

   The door finally opened, my Father came wheeling in. "Sorry I'm late." He said his gaze on me. I shrunk further into my seat, wishing I could just disappear at the moment. "What did you call me in for?".

    "Well Billy it's seems Anna thought it would be fun to post this around the school" He said taking out the picture I spent hours working on. It was a picture of Principal Richardson, he was smiling but the problem was that I replaced his body with a fat lady in a two piece bikini. I tried holding in my laughter, from seeing it.

    "And that's not the only thing" Ricky said "She also squirted the hallways with oil, making the student slip and fall when they came out of there classes". I took a quick look at my Father from under my curtain of hair. His face was stern, showing no emotion. I heard Ricky sigh, as he rubbed his face. "I'm sorry Billy but I don't think I can handle her anymore. It seems detention held no effect to her. " He looked at me first, then to my Father. "I'm expelling her Billy".

    "Expelling me!" I yelled standing abruptly from my seat. "But Mr.Richardson it was just a harmless prank".

    "Harmless?" He said "Didn't you consider that the students could get hurt from your prank? They could of injured something from all that falling around." He sighed again. "I'm afraid I'm sorry Anna but it's what I gotta do. Clean out your locker as you leave." And with that said me and my Father left the office.

    I cleaned out my locker, stuffing everything into my backpack. I walked outside and we both walked home, me trailing behind him. As soon as went through our front door, I booked it to my room but my Dad stopped me before I could.

    "Hold it there young lady" He said. I was so close I thought. I sighed and turned to my Father.

    "Yea Dad?" I asked keeping my eyes on the floor, not wanting to see the disappointment in his eyes. 

     "Your in big trouble Anna" He said sighing. "What gave you the idea of doing such things while in school?"

     "I don't know they just come to me" I mumbled.

     "Well I gotta say that picture you did was funny" He said chuckling. I looked up surprised. Where's the yelling? The scolding that I always used to get?

    "It was funny wasn't it" I said with a small smile. I pictured the photo and before I knew we were both laughing. Once we stopped my Dad spoke again.

   "Now that doesn't mean your not grounded Anna which you are for a month" He said "Now go to your room".

   I nodded my head. "Okay Dad". I gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek before going into my room. What should I do now?I thought. I can't go to school, can't go out and there's nothing to do around the house. I sighed and closed my eyes, snuggling deeper into my warm blankets and fell asleep instantly.
