Forks High

I stood in front of my mirror, looking over the outfit I had chosen for today. My first day of Forks High, oh joy. I wore an outfit I had bought a week ago from the paycheck I had gotten from my job. It consisted of shorts that I wored with ripped stockings, a long dark gray graphic tee, and a leather vest over it. I matched it with my old combat boots, from over a year ago but still looked great.

I had on no makeup except for pink lipstick and some blush. I didn't need no mascara since my lashes were already dark and long as it is. I looked out the window, it was cloudy outside but didn't look like it would rain. My outfit didn't really go with the weather, but I was used to the cold, it had no affect on me.

I walked out of my room and into the kitchen, where I found Jacob eating cereal already. "Morning" I told him as I headed straight to the cabinet that held all the cereals, taking out Lucky Charms, my favorite. I grabbed a bowl, pouring the cereals into it and then the milk. I sat next to Jacob, who was eating his cereal quickly, practically inhaling it.

"Whoa there cowboy, slow your role it's not going anywhere" I teased, making him playfully glare at me. But I didn't stop there. "A. Make sure not to eat the bowl while inhaling your cereal, and B. Can you even taste what your eating?" I raised an eyebrow mockingly.

"Shut up" He said sticking out his tongue at me, giving me a view of all the food contents in his mouth.

"Eeeww" I groaned "Your so immature bro".

"Your one to talk...." He mumbled making me roll me eyes and continued finishing my own bowl of cereal. We lapsed into silence, the only sound was the clashing of our spoons on the bowls. After quite awhile Jake spoke. "Remember Anna don't associate with the leeches. I don't want them near you and you near them."

"Yeah yeah yeah" I said waving him off with my hand. "I'll stay a 10 feet radius away from them, keep my thoughts safe away from Edward blah blah blah blah...." I trailed off.

"I'm serious Annika" Jacob said using my full name, which he only used when he was serious or mad.  I didn't need him to tell me that. I already knew not to associate with them. Much.

I pushed back my chair and put my bowl and spoon in the sink. "See you later Jake" I told him kissing his cheek on my way out.

"Stay out of trouble and don't start fights" Jake yelled.

I rolled my eyes. "I'll try not to but I won't promise you anything" I yelled back to him. As I closed the door I heard him yell out my name.

"Anna!". I chuckled and walked to the shed, where my bike stood in all it's glory. It wasn't black like Jake's but a cherry red. It was my pride and joy, taking me about four months to fix. There was one thing me and my brother had in common and it was mechanics. We would help each other, he helped me on my bike while I helped him on his Rabbit. And let me tell you we did a good job on his car.

I threw my leg over the motorcycle, placed my black helmet on my head and drove out the shed. It didn't take me long to find the high school. I drove into the parking lot and parked right to a black Mercedes. I took of my helmet and placed it into my bag. As I walked to the front entrance of the school I could feel the eyes of every student in the vicinity on me.

It was unnerving, but I tried not to show it to anybody. I walked into the front office where a red-haired lady sat in front of a desk. Her head had snapped up as the door had closed. "Can I help you?".

"Yes I'm new here to Forks High." I told her and saw the immediate awareness in her eyes.

"Of yes Annika Black" She said as she looked through a pack of papers, before she found what she was looking for. "Here's your schedule and a map of the school to help you throughout the day." She said with a smile.

"Thank you" I told her with a polite smile.

"Your welcome and have a great day" She told me as I went out the door and gave her a slight nod. My first class was Calculus. The map didn't really help me but I prayed that I got the classroom right. I stood in front of the door, closed my eyes and took an intake of breath before going inside.

"Excuse me" I told the teacher that stood in the front of the board, a chalk in his hand, his hand raised to the board as I interrupted him from writing something. I felt all eyes on me, and I knew that I was blushing. "Is this Mr.Burners class?" I asked in a polite voice.

"Are you the new student?" He asked his arm falling back to his side. "Annika Black the junior?".  I nodded my head, smiling slightly, proud that I found the right room and not looking like an idiot. "Well come on in. Class, this is Annika Black, who  transferred from the reservation to Forks High." I looked down at my boots, biting my lip as he introduced me to the class. "Alright Annika you could sit next to Mr.Cullen."

As he said that name, my head snapped up looking around the room before I found whom I was searching for. There he sat with his pale skin, bronze colored hair that looked tousled, as if he just came out of bed and golden eyes, proof that he drank animal blood.

So that's the Edward Cullen I've heard plenty about I thought. His eyes, that were the only pair that hadn't been looking towards me, suddenly snapped in my direction, his eyes squinted into a glare. I couldn't help but smirk at him. I shifted my books into my other arm and made my way to my seat.

As soon as I sat, Edward froze, his jaw clenching, his hands balled into fists. I paid attention to Mr.Bunner, as he droned on and on about a bunch of lectures I had already reviewed back at my old school, so I zoned out.

I felt a pair of angry eyes, burning a whole in the side of my head and I knew it was him. I turned to look at him, meeting his icy glare. "Hola" I said with a big grin on my face. But he didn't reply, only narrowed his glare more. He looked like he wanted to rip my head off, not that I could blame him. Afterall I was related to my brother, who took his girlfriend away from him. I'd would want to kill any dude I hated, even if he took away my chick from me.

He looked as he was thinking the same thing. I never once flinched back from his glance, but looked straight into his honey colored eyes. Not once was I scared from him, even though I should.

"You should be" He said quietly, leaning closer to me, making a giggle escape from my mouth.

As the bell rang I grabbed on to his shirt, making him stop. "I'm not afraid of  someone that wouldn't hurt me. Especially if there whole family can turn into horse sized wolves and can kill anybody with one bite. You know just because I'm related to Jake doesn't mean I'm anything like him. As long as you don't do anything to me, I won't do anything to you. Okay?".

He didn't answer but yanked his shirt from my grasp and walked out the classroom never looking back. I chuckled grabbing my things and heading to my next class that showed on my schedule.
