I hurried home. It was a big break but I did not really think I was ready. Zee opened the door and looked at me questioningly. I handed her the letter. She read it out aloud.

"Tomorrow at Star building at 10 a.m. This is your chance and you would be given a lot of money." Zee said.
"This is just a practical joke that the manager is playing on me. Why would anyone sign me? He wants to fire me."
"But the money is a lot. It is worth a chance."

I looked at the letter. The money was my only interest. The amount would get me into the UNI along with what I have saved now. I had to do it for the UNI.

Next morning I woke up late and on my own. I slipped a torn jeans and a random top with my worn out converse. I searched for my specs and took a last look of myself in the mirror. Even though I was not pretty I never put makeup. That was so not my type.

Before I left Zee gave a bone crashing hug and whispered 'All the best' in my ears. I checked my phone and the pass they had given me to enter. I reached there pretty much in time.

The building was huge and I was alone. I had to get lost. Overcoming my shyness I went to the reception.

"How can I help you?"
"I am Kyra Black." I showed her the pass.
"Room number 4 please."
"Thank you."

I made my way glancing at the room number of each room. My room had the best door. I could have spent all my life looking at the door. It had the autographs of everyone. Taylor Swift, One Direction, Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes. Everyone. This collab was gonna be the biggest one. I mentally cursed myself for not taking it at first.

I knocked the door. A man who was well built opened it. "Umm.. I am Kyra Black, I... the receptionist.." I showed him the pass.

"Come in love, I am Stuart. You need water?"
"No Thank you."
"You just sit for a bit. Let me call that idiot. Till then, this is the song you need to sing. Go through this."

I looked into the paper Stuart had given me. It had a song written on it with black ink. The A Team. The song was released but he wanted to do a duet of it. This was my favourite Ed song. I kept staring at the paper for what I call forever.

My concentration was broken by a ginger head.

"SO you are Kyra?" the male voice said.

Then I did something you should never do. I screamed on Ed Sheeran.

"Ouch, what was that for?" he said.
"I am sorry. I am just a fan."
"Yeah a hard core fangirl."
"No, I mean, yes."
"That is okay love, but my eardrums need rest. Let me explain the studio to you."

He took me around the studio and tried to explain the technical stuff. I looked at him blank. I had no idea what was going on.

"Understood love?"

"I have never ever been inside a studio and I know nothing about theoretical music."
"Fine that can be cured. Music is not about theory and stuff. If you can sing then you have it. Just feel the song."

I glared into his ocean blue eyes. I was a big fan of Ed from as long as I remember. I was given loads of pocket money for buying clothes and makeup stuff. My mom wanted me to become like her, pretty and smart. I used to save them and buy albums. Ed was someone special, it was not because of his innocent charm but there was something he had. His music helped me live with my mother's sudden death. I was too star struck to even say hello properly and he hates me now maybe.

"Let us first check if you can sing." Ed said.

I was not feeling butterflies inside my stomach, I was feeling a whole goddamn zoo.
