Tears are falling down my face and my heart feels like it has stopped beating. He’s so close to my body I can feel the heat evaporating from his figure.  For the first time I can actually see his face, it’s snow white and his ruby like eyes pierce through mine. He’s tall but I knew that already.

He pulls out his blade and I can no longer breathe. Just do it already. I close my eyes so I don’t ever have to see his disgusting face again. Suddenly I feel the cutlass slide from my cheek to my throat, I take a deep breath and…

“Ahh!” He screams. I open my eyes abruptly to see the hooded man with a blade sticking through his chest. Jesus! His red eyes start to bleed tears and slowly his body disintegrates into ash.

My body is shaking all over and I feel dizzy, I can’t stop looking at the dagger but someone is holding it, I look up to see Connor. For a moment I’m frozen staring into his eyes but then I start crying hysterically and burry my face in my skirt.

He kneels down and sits beside me. I can tell he doesn’t really know how to comfort someone especially someone he just saved from being murdered. “You’re bleeding.” He states as if it was a fact I didn’t know.

I just keep crying, letting my tears soak my dress. “We have to go.” He says as I look up at him petrified.

I shake my head and stare at him with my bloodshot eyes. “I…I don’t understand.”

“We have to go” He repeats. I’m in such a shock I just nod. He helps me up. “Ow!” I wince, shit that hurts! We walk a couple of feet but the stabbing pain hits my leg so I just stop trying. “Stop, stop!” I yell.

“We can’t stop, we haven’t got time!” He says in a stern voice, I have no idea what’s going on right now but for some reason his whole personality has changed, he was quite cold when I spoke to him before but now I’m almost scared of him. His hazelnut eyes torment mine and his grip on my arm is secure and hard, if he hadn’t just saved my life I would probably be running in the other direction right now. If I could run at this point.

I keep trying to catch my breath, my body is still shaking and my vision is blurry from tears! The stinging soreness of my cut is killing me and I can’t walk anymore. “Time! What do you mean?” I ask with fear.

“We can’t talk now!” He pulls my arm to keep me walking but I freeze abruptly. He stares at me angrily but I just take a deep breath and swallow. I have to admit; I was scared but I hid my fear by tensing my jaw.

“I…” I close my eyes and shake my head. “I can’t walk!” I don’t know why I said that, he knows I can’t walk but I’m too terrified to say anything else.

He looks storming but he takes a moment to calm down. “I know” We’re both quiet for a moment but then he moves his arm under mine and carries me to the forest by the cemetery. I wrap my arms around his neck awkwardly and feel almost comforted; he sits me down by an old, dying tree I have never seen before.

“Here” He says. “Try and bend your knee.” This annoys me, he knows I can’t walk but he still thinks I can try and bend it.

“No!” I snap. He looks at me surprised almost as if he thought I didn’t have it in me to yell. To be honest I didn’t like snapping at him. “I’m sorry, it just hurts.”

He gives me a slight smile. “Okay”

He turns away like he’s checking if someone is there and then stares towards me. “I’m going to do something to help heal your leg, okay.” He looks at me harshly knowing he wasn’t taking no for an answer. I just nod. “It might hurt at first but I don’t want you to overreact when I do it.” Still not giving me an option but yet again I just nod.
