there were ropes, tied in circles. her eyes curiously roamed around the dark, fogged forest.
in a sudden blink of an eye, the ropes were no longer alone, as children had their necks tied on it, their feets dangled from below.
shock and scared was an understatement to her, as her eyes widened looking at the pale, lifeless bodies of children at age of seven and up.
her heartbeat started to pump at a fast rate, and a faster rate, suddenly when they all shut open their eyes, black eyes to be precise.
they seemed to have said some words, which, apparently she can't comprehend, as silence startled her poor eardrums. the silence is unbearable, almost as violent like a wave of salt water crashing down a hard rock.
her ears started to bleed, as she noticed something, different in her chest.
afraid, she looked down and saw her chest is empty, theres a big hole in it as her supposedly beating heart disappeared out of nowhere.
and as she looked up, there she saw a little boy holding a bloody heart. it was her heart.
the little boy looked back at her, an innocent smile plastered on his pale face.
unconsciously, she felt her lips tugged up, plastering a smile which mirrored the little boy's smile.
it really is scary what a smile can hide. for they held unspoken secrets, never to be ever told.
