Chapter 2

"No, and there's no way out.." The words echoed inside of the girls minds.

"What do you mean?" Cassie gasped, glancing at each of the four men standing before her.

"As in there is no way back to the real world! Laurence created this place as just a novel, but when in fact it was real. He had visions and dreams from this world, only creating it as his own 'willy-nilly' stories. The teller, Laurence had put it, was real and caught up in time with us only to take us to Grandomnia as a punishment for spreading the word of this secret place. Then you must have been taken as well.."

"But how come there was no one at the concert?" Lily sighed, sitting down on a chair behind her. Luke moved to the side and leant his shoulder on the wall.

"Because after we were kidnapped and taken to this, 'world', everything about us ceased to exist. Like right now, your parent's won't even know they had you. Get what I'm saying?" He looked down at the floor, kicking a tumbleweed of dust underneath the carpet and sighed. The girl's shrugged.

"Then how come we still remembered you?" Cyan rolled her eyes slightly, huffing her cheeks. The boys glanced at each other and shrugged.

"I have no idea." Laurence sighed, sliding his hands into his pockets. Kier walked in with a necklace in his palm, looking stressed. "Kier?! What are you doing with your pendant? You know what it can do to you!" Laurence's eyes widened, trying to snatch the necklace out of Kier's grip.

"What? So we shouldn't be wearing our necklaces?" Lily whimpered and the three girls took out the necklaces hiding underneath their dresses. The pendants glowed and each boy had their eyes on them.

"I-I can smell blood!" Shane grinned evily, his eyes growing a dark red. The boys' faces went pale, their facial expressions evil and daunting, their eyes bloodshot and freaky. Cassie squealed, glancing at the five boys glaring at her.

"That's not all I can smell.." Luke growled from hunger. The girls stepped away, their backs pressed against the wall.

"I can sense.. Vulnerability.." Drew smirked, edging towards the 3 terrified girls, as did the other boys.

"G-Guys?" Cassie stuttered. "Stop it!" She smacked away Drew's hand as he grabbed her by the shoulder.

"What the fuck is going on?!" Cyan cried out, being pinned to the wall by Shane and Laurence. Lily was being held down by Kier, Cassie by Drew and Luke.

"Take off the necklaces!" Lily screamed, struggling in Kier's grip. She broke free for a second, loosing Drew and Luke's glare. They backed away and tried fighting the other guy's off the last two girls.

"Don't look at their pendants!" Drew shrieked, dragging Kier off Lily so she had a chance to take off her necklace. Luke tried tackling Shane off Cyan but was attacked back. Cyan screamed, being dragged out of the room by Laurence.

"No!" Cassie screamed, banging her fist on the door as it was shut and locked. Shane shook his head, turning normal again and tried to open the door.

"Cyan take off the necklace!" Kier demanded, pounding his fist onto the door as Luke tried to pick the lock.

"Step back!" Shane barked at the others, they obeyed and backed away from the door before hitting it with full force and breaking through the door. He fell in and landed on the floor with a thud.

"Shane!" Luke helped him up and they all burst into the room, finding it silent and still. Drew flicked on the light switch, filling the room with light. Laurence was lying on the ground, no longer possessed. But where was Cyan?

"God dammit! Laurence what have you done to her!?" Lily gasped, looking at Cyan's limp body lying on the floor a few meters away. Her necklace was discarded beside her, but she looked different..
