Chapter 1. Welcome to Phoenix Drop

This is like the new Phoenix Drop mixed with the houses from the old Phoenix Drop. Okay? Okay.

Gabby's POV

"Almost there." I groaned as I walked through the fields of Ru'aun.

I've never really had a home where I've stayed for longer than a week. I don't really know why, it's just that I don't like to get attached to the wrong people you know? I don't want to sound vain, but I'm not the ugliest girl that you'll meet and consequently I have quite a reputation amongst men. They think that I'm this easy, vulnerable, little girl who will give anything to anyone. You can just imagine their shocked faces when they find out that that's not the case. I like to mess around with them a bit, you know the simple make them chase you and leave thing.

But in no way am I a player! I find that sick and terrible, I mean why would you break someone's heart just for your own satisfaction? In any case, I would consider my self more of a 'confident' person. Yeah that. Plus I only do that if the guy is bothering me, I would never do it to someone who's just innocent and is trying to make friends with me. Though I haven't met a person like that in quite a while.

"Finally, I made it." I sighed and fell to my knees, resting after a long journey to this particular village. It's name is 'Phoenix Drop' and I've heard nothing but positive comments about this place. They're saying that the Lord is a sweat heart and her guards are some of the strongest in the whole of our region. I'm hoping that I can finally settle down here for a while, especially if the people are as kind as everyone says.

"Hey! Why are you on the ground? Are you hurt?" A man covered head-to-toe in armour ran up to me hold his diamond sword at his side. I'm guessing that he's a phoenix drop guard, I mean I AM right outside the village.

"No no, I'm just resting." I smiled, "Are you a Phoenix Drop guard by any chance?" I asked, standing up and brushing dirt off of my jeans.

"Yes I am, why do you ask?"

"Long story short, I was looking for a place to settle down in and I've heard nothing but positive comments about Phoenix Drop, so I thought that I'd give it a try. But of course that's only if you have any room." I say. The guard placed his sword back into his belt and took off his helm revealing a guy, a bit older than me, with sandy blonde hair and icy blue eyes. He was cute, but in more of a baby way if you know what I mean.

"I'm sure that Lord Aphmau will find some room for you. Come this way, I'll take you to her." He smiled at me, turned to the right, and started walking towards a large gate-looking building. Well of course that's the entrance Gabby, you idiot. I thought as we continued to walk.

"Hey Dante open up, it's Garroth!" The guard shouted when we reached the giant gates. A blue haired man appeared at the top of the gate and shouted back down at Garroth, I'm guessing that's his name.

"Right away" Mr Blue Hair went back inside of the gate and as soon as he did so, the large, wooden gate started to raise.

Garroth gave the man a thumbs up and started walking through the gate with me following behind. Soon, we reached a purple house that was places on a small hill at the far end of the village. Garroth walked up to the door and knocked three times before stepping back and standing by my side. Suddenly, I started getting really nervous. I mean this is the LORD of the village, it's a great privilege to meet alone with a Lord after years of living in a village yet alone being in the village for less than an hour.

"Hey Garroth! Who's this?" A petite built woman opened the door, she had caramel skin and amazing long, straight, black hair. She also had large and warm brown eyes that made her look super cute.

"Lord Aphmau." Garroth nodded his head at her. "I found her sitting alone near the village entrance. Apparently, she was looking for Phoenix Drop and is hoping to stay here for a while."

Lord Aphmau turned her gaze to me and smiled. "What's your name?" She asked.

"Umm I'm Gabriella, but you can call me Gabby. It's a pleasure to meet you Lord Aphmau." I bowed my head like Garroth did.

"There's no need to be so formal." She giggled, "Garroth only does it because he thinks he's posh." She smirked and stuck her tongue out at him. I already like her.

"I-I do not! Now if you don't mind, I need to continue my patrol. Goodbye Lord Aphmau, Gabriella." He placed his helmet back on his head and walked off in the direction that we came from.

"Sooo would you like me to show you around? I have some spare time."

"T-That would be great, thank you Lord Aphmau." I smiled. She really isn't like any other Lord. She's so kind and doesn't treet people like servants but like actual PEOPLE.

"Cool, follow me." She took my wrist and pulled me onwards, towards all the houses inside that village.

We were walking for about an hour, she showed me all the different houses and other communal buildings. She even showed me a small piece of land where I would be able to build my very own house. At the end of the tour, Lord Aphmau lead me to a large tree that was right in the centre of the village.

"These are our sleeping grounds. There's a bunch of spare beds if you want to stay here before your house is complete." She said, showing me around the large tree.

"That would be amazing. You've been so kind to me and I haven't even been here that long, thank you so much Lord Aphmau." I smiled.

"Your welcome! Now, let me introduce you to some people, Katelyn. Travis and some others should be upstairs. Thinking about it, you kind of look like a mini Katelyn." She giggled.

"Is that a good thing?" I asked.

"Looks wise, yes. Travis wise, no." She carried on laughing.

"I'm a bit confused." I stated.

"It's okay, Travis is just really into Katelyn, thinking about it he's into every girl. But don't worry, he's a sweetheart on the inside." She sighed and carried on leading me upstairs.

Travis huh? I thought. Let's hope that he sticks with this Katelyn girl.

CHAPTER ONE DONE! I hope that you're enjoying Gabby so far. I have like 139004831938 books that I'm currently writing so updates won't be very often but I will try to make them regular. Other than that I'll see you guys later, miaow!
