Chapter Three: Xanix, Country of Ice

Chapter Three

“Ryan Earl Raviere!” banged the door. Ryan got up from his small bed and opened the door, revealing a small red envelope and no one in sight. Ryan took the envelope from the floor and opened it.

The information you seek:

Princess Lithia, well and happy. She is the princess being wed to the Prince of Aerin. To get close to the Princess would not be an easy task. Search for me and I will tell the rest

Lady Nanashi

After reading the contents inside the letter, Ryan immediately knew what he would do next.

“Where is he?! He couldn’t have escaped far,” yelled one of the guards that had been chasing Ryan. Ryan stared at the guards running from one direction to another on the roof of a building. He looked at one direction to another, searching for any more guards before he jumped towards a window that he knew would lead him to her. Ryan smirked at how easy it was to find her, and continued on finding the right door. After passing many doors, Ryan finally found the right one and knocked.

“Who is it? Lady Nanashi is very busy at the moment,” a hint of Japanese accent spoke behind the door. Lady Nanashi does not belong to the elemental world, but her ancestor was an elemental, a Phaeguan, therefore she was allowed into the world but hidden in the shadows.

Lady Nanashi’s name means ‘no name’ as she cannot allow her real name into the elemental world. She has the ability – gift – to know any notice, find anyone or foresee the future. She’s the best messenger to go to in the elemental world. She never stays at one place for long, she goes from one place to another in case the leaders of the elemental world send out men to kill her.

“Busy are for people who does not see the beauty in anyone or anything as they never have the time to stop and look,” Ryan said the password from his memory. The first time he met her was an accident, when he was trying to escape men who wanted him for his power. The door opened, showing a beautiful Japanese lady in her mid-twenties. Her silky black hair tied up in neat half up-do, one striking silver eye and one mysterious black eye, skin as white as snow and wearing a black and silver kimono.

“Ryan! Come in, come in. It’s been a while hasn’t it?” Lady Nanashi spoke happily. Lady Nanashi does not speak like most elementals. She spoke very casual and care-free as she came from the modern world when she just graduated high school.

“Yes it has been Nana,” Ryan smiled gently at her small act. It has been a while since I’ve received such kindness. “I’m here to see the how I may avoid guards, to see Princess Lithia.”

“Ah… I see. You’re here to find your true love,” Lady Nanashi winked before closing her eyes and focus on the time and date that would be best for Ryan to see Lithia. There’s a wedding going on, everyone was happy and delighted, everyone but one. On Princess Lithia’s face was a smile, but in her eyes were fear, regret, anger and hatred. No guards were at a white door with red rose decorating it. Lady Nanashi repeated everything she saw, and she could not find a specific time and date. Ryan nodded in understanding, knowing that Lady Nanashi couldn’t do everything all the time and processed all the information into his mind.

A wedding… Could it be hers? Ryan felt a sharp pain in his heart thinking that it’s hers. Shaking his head to get rid of that feeling, he mustn’t feel something that is pointless and useless. He only wanted revenge. And using Princess Lithia is the perfect plan.
