CHAPTER 5

We get out of the car,

"How's Toews doing?" Drew asks sounding genuinely concerned.

"He completely shattered his ankle he's going to be on crutches for 8 weeks." I say sadly. We walk into The Hockey Hall of Fame. "Whoa," The sight of everything leaves me speechless.

"It's amazing!" Drew says.

"No kidding!" We walk up to the desk,

"Hello how may I help you?" the lady at the desk asks.

"Hello may I have 2 adult tickets and 2 youth tickets?" Dad asks.

"Sure thing," she says typing some things into the computer, "that would be 70 dollars." Whoa The Hockey Hall of Fame doesn't come cheap! Dad swipes his card and she stamps our hands.

"Thank you and enjoy The Hockey Hall of Fame."

"We should for how much we're paying." I mutter.

"Come on Angie lighten up!" Drew says as we walk down the hall.

There's so many cool things here! So many jerseys, pictures, papers, sticks you name it! All autographed by different famous hockey players. I got my picture taken by Angela James's track suit and medal since that's who I'm named after. Finally we got to the best part if The Hockey Hall of Fame. The Stanley Cup! Drew and me quickly run up to it leaving Mom and Dad way behind. Only one of the three is here right now.

"It's amazing," I say in awe. Drew tries to touch it.

"Don't touch it!" I say smacking his hand. "Your not suppose to touch the Cup until you win it!"

"My dream is to one day hoist that cup." Drew says softly. I love Drew to pieces but the odds of him going pro let alone winning the cup is very slim.

"Your biggest concern right now should be getting back to Bantam Travel after taking a year off in Peewee." I tell him.

"That should be the last thing your worried about." He assures me, "Your worries should be starting your hockey career at age 14."

"Okay so I'm a little bit behind for playing on an organized team. But as far as work ethic and relationships I'm up to date on that." I tell him.

"Yeah your relationships are definitely up to speed." he says teasing me, "So what does your boyfriend slash future teammate think about you playing anyways?"

"I honestly don't know, all he said that is if I wanted to do it I should go for it and he thinks it sounds amazing." Drew laughs,

"Sounds like an answer so you won't get mad at him." You know it's bad when your little brother can even pick up on that. I laugh nervously,

"Ha ha um yeah," Drew senses my unease and switches the topic.

"This is awesome!" He says pulling our attention back to the Stanley Cup. Mom and Dad come join us,

"Ah the good old Stanley Cup." Dad says putting his arm around Mom.

"Haven't you seen it before Dad?" I ask him.

"Yes I have, before Drew was born and you and Grant were little like 13 years ago I went and saw the Stanley Cup final. It was already in Game 7." he says, "Grant was just wanting to learn to skate and you were crawling around just trying to keep up with him." I laugh,

"Seems like nothing's changed." Dad smiles,

"We'll you keep up easier now." Dad remarks.

"True,"
