chapter 4: What!?

Me, shawn, Brandon and hunter got to the car and quickly started it, luckily there was keys inside. I got into the drivers side and they got in so I quietly drove to the front. We reached the front and jumped out. Everyone was here and I grabbed Brandon and Hunter then pushed them in front of me. "Who are they?" Jacob asked, "that's Brandon and Hunter, we found them in the back ally in the bushes. They looked harmless and to young to just leave out here, so their with us now even if you don't like it" I said smiling. "You know, I don't remember anyone putting you in charge!" Alexis said, I grabbed my pistol and slowly made my way to her. Once I was right in front of her, I dragged her to the ground and held her by her shirt and held the gun to her head.

"And you know, I am the one who found you and I am the one that could have killed you right then and their in that closet!" I shouted. She looked scared and I liked that. "So... What do you think now?" I said smirking, "no..nothing" she stuttered, I let her go and pulled her up then pushed her towards brandon who caught her. "Now look, I was scared at first but then I remembered all the training I have learned my whole life from my parents, Hailey was always gone, Makayla was always gone so I was left alone. My dad taught me many things, some of y'all would never even think of. I have more training and survival qualities then all of you combined. I love y'all to death and I'm only doing this to protect you, you helped and protected me at first but now it's my time to return the favor" I say stopping in the middle of the crowd of our group, "I'm not your leader, what I said was that I'm not gonna leave two kids out here to die so... If you want, I can leave all of you and y'all can fend for yourself while I survive on my own? How does that sound?!" I shouted. Shawn ran forward and hugged me but I pushed him off, "please don't do that!" Shawn pleaded. I looked at my sisters, my friends, my soon to be friends then my boyfriend. "Fine" I sighed and he pulled me into a hug and I hugged back. "Thank you" he whispered.

All of the sudden I heard someone screaming. I pushed shawn off to see Nash getting dragged. Matt, Cameron, and Hayes were pulling at him but their was a rope around his neck and he was getting dragged towards the bridge. I ran to the edge to see what was pulling on him and I saw people. "He..help!!" Nash stuttered out while crying and choking. I jumped over the railing and shot the guy handling the rope. He fell then someone tied the rope to the truck.

Nash stopped getting dragged for a moment. This is the time I needed, "help me please" nash yelled as he was pulling at the rope. I ran to him and stepped on the rope and pulled the other end so it wouldn't choke him. I grabbed my knife and went to cut it but he got yanked along with me, my foot was caught in the rope and I was getting dragged fast. I tried to cut it because then me and nash would be free but it hurt so bad that I couldn't move. I saw the bridge railing and new I had to do this fast. I reached up but my knife went sliding across the road as I hit the railing and the rails were wide so I could fall right through. I started screaming and crying as my leg was getting pulled through the bar and I was holding onto it for dear life. Shawn, Cameron, Matt, Hayes, Jack and Jack, and Taylor came and pulled me but it hurt more. "Just cut Nash free and let me go in the water. I'll be fine". I said while I was sobbing. "Cut Nash free but I'm not leaving or letting you go" Shawn said crying. I saw my knife and reached for it. I grabbed it, then pushed Shawn back and fell then quickly looked up. All the guys looked at me with sadness, and regret. "I never asked, I stated" I said as I slammed the knife down and cut the rope and let go of the railing and fell.

My back hit water and I just sunk. " I love you" I whispered as I went under water. I saw something jump off the bridge and land near me in the water. It was Shawn. He saw me and started swimming towards me. He grabbed me and pulled me to shore and dragged me with him onto the beach. I started coughing and gasping for air as shawn put me on my side so I coughed the water out. I was able to breath and layed back down on my back. "Why'd you jump in shawn?" I asked looking into his eyes as he sat my head on his lap and played with my hair. "Because I never leave someone behind that I love, your very brave and I like that but I also hate it because you would have did that for any of us wouldn't you?" He asked, "I would have done it for a stranger and I would have it for any of y'all guys" I said sitting up and getting in his lap. I kissed his cheek and layed my head in his shoulder and whispered. "I would have done it for you too".
