Secret Roses

Chapter 1

I huffed in anger as I walked further in the forest. I 'accidentally slapped' (A/N Is that even a thing? X'3!) Garroth on the face and it definitely left my hand mark on his cheek. Then I walked away from him to the it woods and keep on stomping. That never happen. I'm going to find that rose bush and get back home but where? I stopped stomping and walked normally and slowly. Maybe I should've just ask Garroth and tell him if he saw any thing before I was unconscious. Should I go back? Or keep on going? And why does life has to be so difficult? I mean, what's going on? The rose bush? The necklace? Medieval time? The corpse? Garroth dressed in armor? No New Meteli, just Meteli? What's next?

"Laurance?"

I quickly turned around in fright when someone called my name in a raspy voice. Nothing. Ok, this is getting scary now. I should go back where I came from. I turn back around and continue walking where I came from. All I hear is the sound of the footsteps of mine and cracking twigs. Then all of the sudden, I notice it is getting dark. Did I seriously walked that far? For how long? Maybe I should stop thinking and know where I'm going.

I finally made it back where I was, no harm or anything. But when I came back, Garroth is there. Himself leaned against the oak tree, his helmet on, and his arms crossed. I guess his mad. I walked to him and I cold see his head rise a little. He looked at me and stood away the tree. I gulped and walked closer to him. I looked down at my feet, not even looking at him in the eye. I sighed and look back at him.

"I'm sorry, Garroth, I shouldn't have treat you like that and slap you too. I was surprise when you kissed me and I didn't mean to rej-" I felt arms around me. My eyes widen when I realized it's Garroth hugging me. Why would he?

"Laurance, I'm glad you're back,"

Wait what?

"Wait, what are you talking about? What do you mean that 'I'm back'," I asked.

He stiffened and grab my shoulders as he pull back from the hug. He looked at me like I was suppose to know. I gave him a confused look.

"You seriously don't know?" He asked.

"Eh?"

What do I don't know? Is it something I don't know?

"She hasn't told you?" He asked.

"Wait, what the hell are you talking about?" I asked.

Who's "she"?

"You don't really know anything at all? I thought you...." he trailed his words as I him the look.

"You know, I hate people not telling me what's going and it was a bad idea to come back," I said.

"Laurance, your sister haven't told you anything?" He asked.

"What about her? She doesn't know anything about this and probably she would think I'm not home and I won't come back," I said.

"You were born here!!" He yelled at me as my eyes widen.

Born? Here? What?

"What do you mean?" I asked. He looked at me and averted his eyes away from mine. His eyes widen and looked back at me.

"We will explain later but for now, we have to go hurry!" He said as he grabbed my hand ad started to drag me until I herd yelling.

"THERE'S THAT SHADOW KNIGHT!"

"GET HIM!"

We ran through the woods as we heard another footsteps right behind us. Suddenly, I got tackled.

"AH!" I screamed and got pin down by another guard.

"I will kill all of your kind, Shadow Knight!" He yelled. He had a knife on my throat and I gulped.

"STAY AWAY FROM HIM!" I heard Garroth yelled and pushed the guard really hard away from me. He picked me up in a bridal style and started to run again. But faster. I looked at Garroth when the moonlight shown on his helmet as the light being reflected . I could see his blue sky eyes. I blushed and my heart is beating faster than before. I leaned my head on his shoulder, I hope he doesn't hear my heart beat. Even though he is running and in being carried. But am I really that heavy to be carried? Okay, I'm not fat, I work out a lot. I heard no noise except the footsteps of running. Did we lose them? I heard his footsteps slowing down. He put me down and I landed on my feet. He huffed and puffed for air, trying to regain himself again. While I looked around for any signs of those guards. I turn back to Garroth.

"What's a Shadow Knight?" I asked quickly. He shot his head up and gave me "Are you serious" look. I nodded.

"I'll tell you when we get back to Phoenix Drop. For now, we should get going before Lady Aphmau will know that I'm gone," he said.

Aphmau!? She's here, too!? So, I'm not the only one here! Maybe she knows about this place or realm or dimension or- whatever you people called it. We continue to walk as I followed Garroth. I walked closer to him and sighed.

"Is there something on your mind?" He asked.

I looked at him and we stopped walking. I rubbed the back of my neck and I looked at him on the eye.

"Thank you for saving me. It was really heroic of you," I said.

"No problem, besides I am a guard and it's my job to protect anyone," he said. I blushed and smiled. He took his helmet off and his blonde hair was on his way as he moved it away. I blushed even more and I looked away. I could hear him towards me. He stopped in front of me and lift my chin up. He looks at me and starts to lean towards. I felt his lips on my cheek. I blushed, probably I'm a tomato now, and my heart starts to go faster able to hear it. It felt nice to feel his soft lips.
