As Highschool began, everyone in Rin's friend group began to realize slowly, but surely, that something was different between them all. As if even from a young age they all had something in common before ever even realizing it-
They were all super gay.
Well, kind of. It was more of an umbrella term, really. They had "gays" of all shapes and sizes, including lesbians, pansexuals, and straight allies within the group. Of these teens, one blonde was discovering herself rather late in the game, Rin Kagamine.
"I just don't know. I mean, come on, we've been raised all our lives to believe in only two sexualities, and now we're opened to so many new ones?!" Complained the young blonde girl. "You have it easy!"
"Hmph. Easy?" Scoffed the older, pink-haired teen, Luka. "You call being a lesbian easy? Honey, call me when you like a straight girl, then tell me it's easy."
"Don't get me started on straight boys!" called someone from another room, presumably Kaito. Luka raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, because straight guys are so goddamn 'no homo'" Luka complained, "the fucking worst."
"Luka, we say no hom-"
"Rin. It's different when you're gay. You can say that kind of stuff." Luka interrupted.
"Yikes," called a red-head with twin drills from the couch, "cat fight!"
"Whatever. You came over to talk, right? And so did apparently half of the group.." Luka replied, almost in a complaining tone before muttering the last sentence. Rin laughed nervously as she looked at everyone else.
"Yeah... to be honest I don't know why they're here. I didn't even tell anyone else..." Rin muttered. Luka shrugged, looking around at all the random friends in her house, before looking down to Rin once more.
"You wanna talk, fine. Come with me."
Rin smiled cheerfully and thanked her, quickly following Luka up to her room.
"Whaddya want, shortcake?" Luka asked, leaning against the closed door once they both were inside.
"I have... A question." Rin started.
"Well? Shoot it at me, then"
"When did you know you were gay?"
This question, coming from Rin, took Luka by surprise. She straightened up (physically) and looked at the wall behind Rin in thought.
"Well, uh... I had a bit of a crush on this girl. Well, actually, I thought it was just a girl I wanted to be friends with, ya know? Yeah, you know. Anyways, I just... I just knew after a while.." Luka finished, deep in her own thoughts. Rin nodded thoughtfully.
"So... What if you're already friends with them?" Rin asked awkwardly, twiddling her thumbs. Luka watched her carefully, definitely knowing where this was going.
"Well, you tell them. That goes for any sexuality, shortcake." Luka answered and pointed to her head, as a gesture to say it was a no-brainer. Rin nodded and took a deep breath.
"Luka, I-"
"Like Gumi. Yeah, yeah, everyone knows about it, Rin. Ya ain't slick." Luka quickly interrupted, laughing. Rin looked up at her dazed.
"Wait, what?"
"Yeah! You two are always by eachother! I mean, seriously, you two always 'joke' about making your own yuri. Have a little bit of perspective- everyone knows about it."
"Luka, that's not-"
"Possible? It is."
"No, it's just not t-"
