Our Secret Daughter

Chapter 7

Emma's POV
2 months later

I walk into the kitchen of my new house. I just finished unpacking a few months ago. The house is so pretty and I can't wait for my daughter to grow up and have a life here.

I start to make some breakfast in the kitchen. I decided on making pancakes. Eating for two is really hard. No matter what your always hungry. Once i'm done with breakfast I go upstairs and look into the nursery that my daughter will be in, in just a few more months.
I smile at how great it came out. Dani and some of our other friends that i've met while being in Chicago helped me out with the nursery after I moved in here. It turned out great if I must say.



I walk into my room to start getting ready for the day.

**********3 hours later*********

I was sitting on the couch with my notebook in my hand. I was writing down baby names. I have a first name, but I still can't decide on a middle name. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I drop the notebook that was in my hands. " ahhhhh" I scream out. I'm scared so I call Dani on the phone and tell her to come over here quick.
Luckily she lives just down the street and a few minutes later I hear a knocking at the door. By now the pain has passed so I get up and answer the door.
"What is it? What's wrong? Are you ok?" she asks me in a frantic voise.
"I don't know I just started having these....ahhhh" The pain comes back before I could even finish my sentence. Dani holds my hand through the pain. A few minutes later it goes away. " How long?" she asks me. "What?" i'm confused as to what she is asking me.
"How many minutes apart is the pain?"
" I don't know a few minutes maybe."
"Oh My Gosh!" she says. I give her a weird look. "Your baby is coming the pain your feeling are contractions." she explians to me. "Oh my gosh we have to get to the hospital!" I tell her. We get into her car and drive to the hospital. Once there the nurses help settle me in a room. Then my doctor comes in, "Ok Emma in just a few hours you'll meet your little girl for the first time. Are you ready?" Dr. Rose ask. "Yes I'm ready." I reply.

A few hours later

"Ok Emma one more push and then your daughter will be here." Dr. Rose says.
"One, two, three, push!"
All of a sudden I hear a cry. "You did great Emma." Dr. Rose smiled at me.
They hand me my daughter and I look down and smile. She's so beautiful. I can already see a bit of both me and Killian in her.
"Awwww she's so cute and tiny!" Dani exclaims walking into the room. The doctors had kicked her out for the birth since she wasn't immediate family.
"I know she's perfect." I smile. I look down mesmerized by the tiny newborn infant in my hands. My own flesh and blood. The thing i've been caring around in my stomach for 9 months.
"What's her name?" My thoughts are interrupted by Dani's question.
"Hailey Marie Jones" I told her.
"That's beautiful and it fits her well."
"Thanks." I smile at Dani. I had tk give my daughter a part of her father and if that meant her having his last name then that was fine with me. I still feel bad leaving them all with out an explanation. I just hope that one day they'll understand.

This is probably the longest chapter i've ever written for this story so far.
Sorry for not updating in a while. All I have to say is school. But i'm out for summer break now so i'll be able to update more. Yay!!
